My wife and I checked out the new Naan restaurant that opened today May 5, 2023. Overall the venue was decoratively upper class looking definitely beautiful restaurant. The food however was amazing! We have a few Indian cuisines around town but are further away compared to the location of Naan. The cost of the food was on point and affordable for the amount of delicious food that’s provided. We visited during dinner which is a family style serving. We ordered the typical popular Indian dishes Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Sampler Naan basket (features various Naan bread) and a Masala Chai tea. Overall the main dishes were very tasty and had a bit of spice which I love and over the basmati rice man this was so good and filling. The Naan sampler basket was really good if you wanted to try a few various Naans that are made in house. Definitely the stuff Naan and Garlic Naan is really good! My wife enjoyed her Masala Chai tea and I was able to get a quick taste, it was sweet with a hint of cardamom. We are looking forward to trying their lunch buffet next time and we highly recommend checking out Naan!
UPDATE: we went back Sunday for lunch buffet and man it was really good! The chicken tandoori was tender and they had these spinach crisps which were amazing! Some of their food were a bit spicy but manageable. The Mango Lassi drink reminded me of a mango flavored yogurt drink and that mango grit dessert was really good definitely something I’ve never tried before. Apparently the prices for lunch buffet are different as the weekend buffets have more dishes available. It is $14.99 for weekday and $17.99 for weekend buffet. We will be returning on a...
Read moreFirst off, the place is beautiful, and it smells great.
My daughter and I came in for dinner while waiting for my son to get off work. She had a shrimp stew in a sort of green curry coconut broth, and I had the Hyderabadi Mutton Curry. We shared some samosas; she had her first mango lassi, and I had a masala chai, which was almost unspeakably luxuriant.
The garlic naan is great.
But the overall balance and skill evident in the blending of spices was perfection.
I will say that with the mutton curry, you need to be aware of the realities of the dish. A given portion might end up with more small bones than another. If you're used to that idea, to dishes like this, it shouldn't be a problem because the star of it is the way the meat comes apart, becoming one with the fragrant, rich, nuanced sauce. It's like a book. I could eat that dish every day for a week and finding new things to notice and enjoy about it.
As a diabetic I can't take much rice, but the rice is so light...all the elements work together in perfect harmony. It was really a memorable dinner; I've paid more for plenty of less memorable ones. A good Indian place is really a jewel in its neighborhood, and this is a good one; The sparkle is way more than skin deep and doesn't leave you for...
Read moreI really loved this place a lot. I've eaten here numerous times and it's probably the best Indian food that I've had since coming back to the States from Singapore. However, on a few recent occasions I do not appreciate the way I was treated by the staff. The first few times, I just thought that the guy(who appeared to be the manager), and the waitress there were having a bad day. But I noticed it would happen to me repeatedly. I've done nothing wrong and I've treated them all with respect and was very grateful for the food. I even tipped them extremely well! However, after the last time I went there, I felt as though the waitress intentionally avoided my table and the main guy up front wouldn't even greet me upon greeting him, or even acknowledging me at all. As great as the food is, I think I should be valued as a customer no matter what issues are going on there unbeknownst to me. I've always treated you all with respect and I feel as though I deserve it as well!
But I'm not going to say that the food isn't really good. It's probably the best Indian food I've had since coming back to the US. It's a shame that I can't see myself going there again. Hopefully someone can suggest another place with good food that would treat me like a...
