I love Miller's Ale house. I go quite often this was only my second time going to this location as I live on the east side and my first time here was great a few months back so I decided to revisit. However, this time was terrible. Our waitress did the best she could but she was definetly spread thin. I was with 3 other friends. One of my friends and I ordered the 35 fried shrimp and we had to send both orders back. My shrimp was over cooked and according to my friend his food tasted old. His Cole slaw was warm so he was afraid to eat it, our potatoes and gravy was extremely salty, and my iced tea and lemonade was warm despite being brought out with a lot of ice. But this was not the worst part, another friend ordered the create your own burger and it was brought out charbroiled dark on the outside and red with white speckles on the inside. He was never asked how he would like his burger so he just decided to eat it anyway as we were all very hungry by now due to the wait for our food. When my friend and I got back to my house about 2 hours later he starts throwing up VIOLENTLY and all he saw was this burger. After 6 hours of witnessing my friend going through this and contemplating whether or not we would have to take him to the urgent care to find out if he has food poisoning, I decided to call and request to speak to a manager. Not for free food, as I will never visit this location again, but to make them aware of the potential issue with a cook or their product. I spoke to the manager Dave who was immediately very defensive telling me that food poisoning takes 12 hours to present symptoms. WHAT?! I did not know Millers hires Doctors for their management team. All in all he stated no others complained, however, if I was giving him the benefit of this "12 hour" rule I never heard of, would they have by now?? In the end he took my information and stated he will do an "investigation" and give me a call back possibly tomorrow as he was busy. He was not friendly whatsoever and never once apologized although I explained my dissatisfaction with the rest of our food. My advice is, there are a lot of Millers locations, if you can, choose another this one needs some serious retraining and revaluation of...
Read moreTo give some context, I’ve worked in hospitality for the past 12 years and currently work as a server, so I understand the industry well. I’m a big fan of Miller’s Ale House, especially the Prime Burger, and usually go to the Narcoossee. However, since we were nearby, we decided to stop at this location instead.
We walked in at exactly 11:10 PM on a Sunday night, fully aware the restaurant closes at midnight. That’s 50 minutes before closing, not exactly a “last-minute” arrival. Still, we were greeted with a dismissive attitude at the door. We asked if we could sit at the bar, and the girl said yes.
As soon as we got to the bar, we were met with extremely hostile body language from the bartender (African American, middle-aged). If looks could kill, we wouldn’t be here. His attitude was unwelcoming and rude from the start. I even asked if it would be easier for us to move to a table, since I already knew what I wanted to order, but he made it clear we weren’t welcome either way. So we just got up and left.
As someone who works in this industry, I get it, late night customers can be frustrating. But this wasn’t last minute, and even if it were, hospitality means treating every guest with basic courtesy and respect.
I won’t be returning to this location, and I’ll be sure to let my friends and colleagues know about the experience. Do better, this is hospitality,...
Read moreI am very disappointed of this Ae House, there is always an issue I can believed it. and the worst part is that I can't go to another one because they are much further and this is just 5 minutes from my house. My sister and I ordered food online and it was supposed to be ready at 10:14 and we arrived almost at 10:30 because we know they always take longer to have it ready, so we wanted to make the wait shorter. However, when we arrived the order was not ready and we had to wait a few minutes, but the worst part is not that, the worst part is that when they gave us the order it turns out that it was wrong and they had to make the order from scratch and I've been here more than half hour waiting for our order that was supposed to be ready to pick up right away. I would like to get out of the car and enter to ask for the manager but I can't because I'm in pijamas and my sister who is the one inside taking the order does not want to argue because she’s tired and hungry from work, and that is why Im writing this review. There is always a problem with this ale house, since this is like the third complaint that I have in less than two months and the other day my friend was treated so badly that the mager had to apologize and give a gift card of such bad service. I am very disappointed whit this ale house here at...
