Mornings in Paris is in the location formerly Bread and Roses and has big shoes to fill. The coffee and pastries are very fine but the in-store experience leaves much to be desired. Ordering French style pastries from a young man wearing a Metallica tee shirt is tawdry and very non-Parisian. Other employees look like they rolled out of bed. A uniform tee shirt with classic style bakery apron would solve this issue. I'm also not a fan of being asked every time I check out if I'd like to add gratuity to my bill which makes the experience feel cheap and robotic. A few simple tweaks and this establishment can go from average to close to what was and I hope for their sake they do. We found this darling cafe on Google. It was only a 6 minute walk from the Sea Castles hotel we were staying. They have an appetizing assortment of pastries, sandwiches, fruit cups, desserts, cookies and even greek yogurt which is rarely found on most menus. They offer many coffee concoctions and have coolers with bottled drinks. However, I was looking for orange juice and did not see it as an option. My husband and I both had a spinach and feta croissant , fruit cup and coffee. I was in heaven after the first bite. The coffee, black, had a deliciously rich flavor w/o bitterness.
