If you’re ever in Ogunquit ME, you must visit The Patio on Main Street. This hidden little gem is awesome! The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the staff is amazing! Before you know where the restaurant is, you’re greeted by Maria, who gives you the 411 on the restaurant and why you should go there. When we walk down the driveway, we are welcomed by Tom, who takes us to our table, water is brought over by one of the two fantastic servers we had (yes, we went back for a second time). Tony stops by our table to say hello and Melanie, who is just as sweet as she can be, rushes over to take our order. The food comes out quickly and our glasses stay full and Melanie makes sure her customers have everything they need from the time they’re seated until they leave. Richard, our server on visit #2, is hysterical! He serves up your order efficiently with the perfect amount of sass! He kept the drinks coming, along with his infectious energy. We found ourselves missing this little piece of heaven when we were at other restaurants and would’ve gone there more had they been open for breakfast. What makes The Patio so special, besides the yummy food, is the owner and staff. We met a group of people who make you feel so welcome, you find yourself wanting to stay and hang-out. Thank you to Tom, Tony, Maria, Melanie and last, but certainly not least, sassy Richard, for making their wonderful little eatery a vacation highlight and we cannot wait to...
Read moreThe food was fine, i guess, but there were some other big flags as to why we will not return.
One main reason, not sure if it’s the owner or GM, but he was invasive and cocky. He wouldn't leave us be to enjoy our guests company. He kept badgering us with foot ball talk and his love for Vegas, strip clubs my and nothing else. In witnessing this man’s misunderstanding of his guests comfort, i noticed he just seemed he couldnt sit still. Not sure if hes abusing the bar or anything else but he little wouldnt stop talking or leave us be to enjoy our meals and chat amongst ourselves. My son 2 needed space, he kept making inappropriate comments and touching him “tony is Y NOT backwards” “he just wants to play with someone his own size”.. tony continually made jokes about his own size while we were there. Just made me extremely uncomfortable as a mom. I wouldn’t recommend this place for kids—even tho tony claims this place is kid friendly, he is the reason i would claim its not. Although he gave, complimentary, my father in law a heavy pour of scotch probably to buy the conversation tony so desperately needed, the whole visit was frustrating and we couldnt wait to leave. Over priced, great service from Laura, all...
Read moreWe were just in the area and the restaurant we wanted to go to was crowded so we came here. We were on the patio and it was a lovely fall day. We got our drinks and I split a beer with my cousin. The menu seemed pricey, but we ordered anyway as the vibe seemed good. Our waiter, Richard, brought napkins and utensils to the table. Someone grabbed a napkin from the pile and a cockroach crawled out. My cousin trapped it under her water glass. We debated what to do (I wanted to leave immediately). Richard came by and we brought it to his attention. He grabbed one of the napkins and squished it like it was no big deal and moved on. We were all stunned at his lack of reaction. Is this a common occurrence? Again we debated leaving but no one had the nerve to do so, other than me. The food came and it was so pedestrian. LIke it was all fried in the same fryer. My sister paid over $33 for her lobster roll. The pint beer in a can was $13. So: overpriced and underwhelming food. Cockroach in the napkins, never a good sign. Indigestion afterwards. Richard was hilarious though, he kept...
