The burger was thin but no crispy edges and was far more greasy than I was expecting. The bun was great, soft in the middle, but the outside was nice and firm with good toast on it. I'm not a fan of smash sauce, like mustard cut with mayo, but salty. The veggies were fresh and of better quality. The pickles had a nice crunch, and the onions had a good flavor, but they were not overpowering. The Smash fries were a high light with the olive oil and rosemary seasonings. I'd rate this just above a Wendys burger. With the bun giving Smash the edge. At this price point, just over $30 for two people, 5 Guys and Red Robin are a cut above, in my opinion. The low atmosphere rating is for two reasons. First, it was like a freezer in there. My fries got cold before I finished my burger, and I am not a slow eater. Secondly, the booth seats were not very comfortable. The cushion was thin and like sitting on a board. Service was excellent, and maybe the only reason I may give them another try. Ordering was easy, and the lady behind the register was very nice. Food took a little while, but it was understandable with the lunch time rush. But when it was brought to us, it was fresh and hot. The nice gentleman came and checked on us after service, and when we were finished, they cleared the table. We didn't have to dispose of anything. A nice surprise, and not done in many burger...
Read moreI like smash burger. But at this specific location in the past 3 days in a row they haven't had any veggie burgers. The first day they said they were still frozen, the second day they said they ran out and they didn't know they didn't have anymore but they said they were for sure have them that day but I just don't understand why tell me that when I told them I'd be back and now today. The same cashier walks up to me with a grin on her face I already knew. She says now they won't have any til tomorrow. I live up the street not even 0.3 miles away and that the most convenient one to go to. I didn't go off or anything but I'm not going to lie I wasnt pleased going there for three days straight being lied to. I really don't Want to go back to that location I just find it a little inconvenient and disrespected by the way the cashier thought it was cool to lie to me three times and smile like I'm not gone think she was doing it on purpose but it's messed up I'm pregnant and my little one comes in with me and eat from there too I could of saved gas and time not going instead of practically being laughed at and lied to wasting my time money gas and energy with no food. Very...
Read moreEdit: just got turned away from the store when trying to order food. They said they closed at 9, o got turned away at 8:20. I understand wanting to get your close done and go home but if your open until 9, that means your serving food until 9. Very unhappy
This complaint is not about Smash Burger itself but the building they are in. The Nail Salon next door needs a better exhaust system and air filters. The smell bleeds over into the Smash Burger dining room and it's bad enough to give me a headache while I'm placing a takeout order. I don't know how the employees deal with it every day. It's definitely affecting their business as I never see anyone sitting in the dining room eating (shocker). There's no way those fumes are good for a restaurant setting. Please look into this as it relates to employee and customer safety. There is something seriously wrong with the ventilation system and it needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.
Despite the horrid smell, the Miller lane Smash Burger has always provided fantastic food and great service. They deserve a better working environment than the building owner...
