For eating gluten-free in Oklahoma, I feel that Cheddarâs Scratch Kitchen provides a mostly decent dining experience while still being reasonably priced. Every time that we went, they are quite quick to seat and serve at the beginning. The food does not take very long to get to the table!
The servers have always been nice. It just would be a bit better if they did check in on our table a little bit more, but it is understandable since they seem usually a bit busy. Of course, I do not know how many tables a server has, though. It just would be helpful to have at least a water refill more often when we go! Overall, I feel that the Cheddarâs Scratch Kitchen in Yukon provides decent quality of service, but it is not necessarily exceptional.
The Honey Butter Croissants are not Gluten-sensitive, but they taste wonderful if you can have it! It is hot and the flakes of crispy pastry are wonderful. The drizzles of Honey Butter add a bit of savory sweetness, and this appetizer satisfies while preparing your appetite for the later entrĂŠes!
My partner and I enjoy getting the Gluten-sensitive Grilled Salmon On Seasoned Rice And Cheese and Bacon Fries. I will note that the Cheese and Bacon Fries are not on the Gluten-sensitive Menu, so there is a risk of cross-contamination that we are both aware of. There have been several times where we found random, somewhat unidentifiable crispy bits in it. That has been a slight cause of concern for my partner even though they haven not had issues with the Fries previously, but usually it is without too much risk otherwise. However, regular French Fries are on the menu! If you eat gluten-sensitive, I would recommend getting those instead to play it safe!
Even if you are not Gluten-sensitive, I would still definitely recommend this dish! The Grilled Salmon has a nice, firmer outer layer. The inner parts are always nicely hot and fresh with good flavoring. It is soft which pairs well with the bed of Seasoned Rice. Having some Fries on the sides as something crispy to your plate for a nice contrast!
Other than that, I had the Gluten-sensitive Smokehouse Burger and Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms! Unfortunately, I do not have pictures of the latter. I think that both are just as filling and satisfying, but the Grilled Salmon is just so so good! I would probably recommend the Smokehouse Burger next as I felt that the Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms was good, but not suited to my usual tastes!
I also had the Creamy Garlic Tilapia and Shrimp on Seasoned Rice With Cheese and Bacon Fries. However, when I look online now, I am not sure if it is available anymore! I really enjoyed eating it. I have similar comments of it like the Grilled Salmon. Personally, I love shrimp too so it was a lovely dish that let me have all my favorites on one plate!
I think that my partner and I will keep returning to Cheddarâs Scratch Kitchen despite my previous comments on the service. It is still a good restaurant and this location does not disappoint. I think they have a good selection for those who are Gluten-Sensitive, so I think you can definitely find something...
Read moreMy family and I ate at cheddarâs in Yukon on Saturday. It wasnât busy in the restraint at all. I think I saw maybe 7 tables filled with actual dinners. There were 7 of us so we expect it take take a little longer but we were trapped there for 2 hours and not of our own accord. First when we got there we were missing 2 sets of silverware. Okay. We asked if we could get some . Received our drinks and she forgot the babies water. No biggie. We ask if we can get that and remind her of the silverware. Still nothing. She came back to give the appetizers, still no silverware but we got the water. Then we received the food but still no silverware. How do you eat without silverware? My nieces husband gave up and asked the bar tender for silverware. I take a bite of my ribs and realize they are extremely dry so as she is walking by I get her attention and ask for some extra sauce. She looks at me and and then the table and with an attitude asks âokay, while Iâm here anybody else need anything else. Please tell me while Iâm here so I can get everything at onceâ as if it were our fault she kept forgetting things. Mind you, she had maybe 3 small tables. She was Extremely rude. I have no clue what her name was but she is a small, skinny, redhead with short hair. We sat there for another 30 minutes after she took our credit cards to finally flag down the bar tender again to find out what the hold up is. The bartenders canât back and advised that the credit card machine went down so she was remembering our ticketâs. The acting âmanagerâ came over to the table about 15 minutes later to let us know that the girl had rang things up wrong and had to void our checks and re enter them. I advised the manager what had occurred with the server and she advised she was a server so couldnât do anything but she would pass in the information to a supervisor. There were several times where we were up walking around looking for our server and the bar tender saw us looking but never once came over to help. We had to ask for help every time. There were at least 3 tables with workers on break however. We finally get our tickets after an hour and the tickets were still wrong. She charged my niece for garlic bread that she was suppose to get with her daughters Mac and cheese (which was forgot when the food was brought out as well. You explain to a toddler why everybody has food but her!) but she never received it. They were also charged for an extra salad that was suppose to come with her husbands food. He ordered chicken strips with fries and a salad and he received Cole slaw as well. He doesnât even like Cole slaw. She just went ahead and paid the bill because she wasnât going to wait for this girl to get her ticket right. So sad. As for the food, it was horrible as well. My moms chicken pot pie was watery, my ribs were dry and hard, my sisters chicken was dry. I paid $40 for 2 horrible meals. We will never be back. I wouldnât recommend this place to anybody. This was the absolute worst service we have had at a resteraunt in a...
Read moreWe won't be back to this Yukon or the memorial locations again. The buffalo chicken wrap has been my go to for several years and I wanted some last night so we arrived at this Yukon location around 5pm Saturday and it was moderately busy with no table waits. We asked to be seated in view of a TV as OU was still playing. The hostess led us to the table immediately left of the bar area and the seating looked tight. The bench and table were fixed in place and I'm a little overweight but my ribs were getting smashed by the tables edge. There was only a single person seated at the bar so we simply moved to the bar seating and let the hostess know of our move. The bartender and single person at the bar seemed to know each other and the customer was only drinking a frozen margarita while she was adding some ice and asked someone else to change out a keg, she said she'd be with us soon. Now 3 other servers had some personal conversations that had us waiting when longer. It was not a complete bother as we were watching the game and doom scrolling on our phones but it still took at least 5 minutes after to be asked what we'd like to drink. The aded special pilsner bud light was properly served in a frosted glass and that beer was the best part of that experience. She offered some croissants and came back with 2 that now that I'm talking about it were as good as our beers but we didn't rush to eat or even touch them while she took out orders. No silverware or napkins were brought with the sweet and sticky breads but I was close enough to the bar coaster napkins that would have to suffice. After I finished mine I went to wash my hands and there were no towels in either sinks dispenser. My shorts had to cover this but this visit was already providing no return and will share our experience with all friends and family. Our 2 orders arrived in good time after a family of 5 received theirs. This is where I was done though. The chicken strips weren't fresh from scratch and immediately known. From ALL the orders we've ever had from the Midwest Chitty and Norman locations has never been not fresh and great but my strips had been cooked some time before and were edible but that's it. Same thing happened at the memorial location and we'll never return there again promised. Maybe the looted Hooters next door is a broken sign of the area? As long as cheddar's continues to keep their meal prices in check then they should not fall like their neighbor but it won't be my funds that keep the doors open. I suggest the kitchen supervision check the food more before being served and I've never returned an order or asked for meal comp as it's always looked like desperate people trying to not pay for their food and service. I didn't mention any of this to the bartender but a supervisor never showed up to ask how our experience was. No big deal right? Well I still left a 25% tip and just know Buffalo Chicken wraps are being leasy to...
