Possible issues ahead?!?!? BEWARE!!!
Took a while to get seated…it wasn’t busy.
Our hostess ended up being our waitress. She carded us for drinks which was fine but we are in our late 40’s so it was odd. Again we were fine with that, but she questioned our photos??? She said we didn’t look like the pictures and that my head had a different shape? She also then wrote down our birthdays and DL expiration dates?????? She then told me that my drink has 3 ounces of liquor so I can’t drive Lmmfao
We shrugged it off and stuck it out. First thing to arrive was the appetizer and it was bigger than we expected and we told our waitress that we were surprised with the size of it and that we would need a box for it because we are saving room for the main course…she canceled our main meal and brought us a box because we were to full…WTF?!?! We never asked to cancel!!!
Main course arrives finally after an additional 20 minutes to wait…another odd thing with the waitress. She wanted to put our parmesan cheese on a plate to add as we go rather than on top of it like everywhere else you go…we just figured she’s kinda “special” and keep struggling through.
Food was pretty BLAND! So we only ate a little bit and decided to just call it. Next odd thing with the waitress. She brings us two tickets…one full price then one with the discounts for the 1/2 price platter Monday special.
Here is the big kicker of the whole event!!!!
After I hand her my card she comes back with the receipt to be signed. I’m on my phone and my wife grabs the ticket and starts to do the tip part for me. This waitress hauls ass over and behind to get onto my wife that she CANNOT AND WILL NOT SIGN THIS RECEIPT. My wife tells her it’s ok and she isn’t going to sign it…this woman kept on about the name on the card and really getting onto my wife!!! Now my wife is on GO mode and it’s ON! After a good argument the waitress lost her tip and we will never be back!!!!!!
We are now thinking that this was all a plot to get our info for our card to maybe use for later…why write down our birthdays and DL expiration…also giving a big deal about making sure signature and name on card is perfectly executed.
WE WILL BE WATCHING OUR CARD CLOSE FOR ANY...
Read moreThis used to be one of our fave date night spots. Tonight was a whole new experience...a bad one. The hostess acknowledged us when we walked in but she was so quiet we couldn't even hear what she was saying. She seated us in the bar, even though the entire restaurant was mostly empty. We were ignored by the bartender for a couple minutes as she chatted with an employee. Something happened behind the bar in which the bartender, shouted loudly "Get up off me, trash!" Thankfully we were the only table but we were noticeably startled as she immediately apologized from across the bar for her outburst then giggled with her coworker. She asked us what she could do for us from across the bar. Then several minutes later we got our beverages. However, we didn't get the lemons we requested and had to ask twice for them. Meanwhile another table was seated beside us. She took their order and left the bar area. When she finally returned with their salads we asked for bread and straws. She grumbled as she walked slowly away. Then when she returned and we asked for refills she grumbled again. A coworker came up and she said, "I just got double sat for absolutely no reason." Later this same coworker had to listen to her complain about having two tables. We don't get to eat out as often as we used to...so we choose wisely. This experience has us choosing differently in the future. Shouldn't a bartender want customers? Don't you rely on customers and their tips to make money? We felt like we were an unnecessary burden. When we finally got our bread we had to get our own vinegar off the bar. When we got our food we were not offered cheese or anything. The food was not its normal standard and seemed a bit bland and overcooked. When we were done our card was on the table to pay for a ridiculous amount of time without being checked on. When we finally got the check she didn't even pick up the card to take it, she just took the dirty dishes. I normally tip abundantly...but tonight it was obvious she didnt want our business or...
Read moreActually, I was quite disappointed. I used to LOVE Johnny Carino’s bowtie festival! I took my family here. My husband and I got the 2 for $48.98 - came with appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert. With the appetizer we ordered the mozzarella sticks and got 3… 3 to share for two people? It was weird. The marinara for the mozzarella sticks was cold and very bland.
Kids chicken broccoli Alfredo was really absolutely inedible. The chicken was completely unseasoned and absolutely looked like precooked packaged chicken. It came with barely any sauce. So it was bland chicken with dry noodles and broccoli. I would also like to note they put a couple different styles of pasta in the dish?
The burger… my daughter was not impressed, she asked for additional ranch and they didn’t seem to want to come off.
I didn’t get my Bellini until almost the end of dinner and it was really not good at all.
The cheese on my husbands Tortellini was not melted and the sauce was still semi cold.
My bowtie festival was okay. But again.. the chicken was unseasoned, bland, all white and seemed like precooked packaged chicken.
Quality of this place has definitely gone downhill and I remember back when this place was packed on every night of the week. They were dead on a Friday night. That should say something.
To top the entire thing off. Waitress offered us dessert (it did come with our 2 for $48.98) we told her we wanted the tiramisu - she said “I’ll add that on” my husband and I looked at eachother like HUH? We reviewed the ticket - they over charged us! They didn’t do the 2 for $48.98 and charged for the dessert. Asked waitress to correct and she was like oops! When “corrected” it was still more expensive than the $48.98 but we just decided to pay and move along.
Unfortunately, because of such a huge decline in service and food quality. We will not be returning and that’s quite sad because I used to...
