I love Chick-fil-A. If you read my reviews, you'll see proof of said love in another review I did earlier. I rated this particular location at 3 stars, not due to the quality of food (which is still 5 stars) but because the third time I ate here I waited a ridiculously long time for food.
*Explanation: I had ordered the same time as my girlfriend (she ordered with the cashier next to me). She ordered a meal and I had only a sandwich. Now, at least one other person had requested a somewhat large order before (or maybe after?) we did, so I would understand if that was the issue. But I don't think that was the case. My girlfriend got her food within a few minutes after to ordering. Others who ordered after we did also got their food before me. I saw a small family order after I had already begun to lose my patience and they still got their food before I did. It was roughly 20 minutes before I got my food, which I don't mind waiting for good quality food but there was no explanation or apology for the wait.
**Conclusion: I still love Chick-fil-A. However, I feel that this particular location, on that particular day, treated me very poorly. The food quality was still marvelous, though, and I haven't sworn off eating here again. I think I'll give them another chance. We placed our order at 8:33 and we're surprised to see that they were cleaning up to close already. The cashier who helped us was at work, but clearly already clocked out for the day and was extremely rude and took our order in a hurry, not allowing me to finish. Then they spent the entire time focusing on closing as opposed to finishing the orders they had already gotten prior to ours and continued to get. I've never had to wait more than 10 mins for food at chick fi la, and that's probably a gross exaggeration, it's usually only 5 mins. But I didn't get my order until 9. I finally asked about it at 8:58 thinking they had some how lost it and one employee was very apologetic which I appreciate. This particular Chick-fi-A at the time I went had a manager who was very courteous about gluten free options. Their standard as a company is high but it really has to do with the willingness of the staff to comply with anti cross contamination (CC) behavior. They changed their gloves and kept everything separate and careful. My wife has a frosted lemonade and fries without getting sick.
