This was a very disappointing trip to Chili’s. My wife and I love eating at Chili’s so our expectations were already set when we came in. As soon as we walked in the hostess was not at her stand, which, to be fair, she probably was helping out doing other things. Another worker saw us and asked if we had been helped by the hostess. We told him no, and he asked how many were in a party and that it would be about five or 10 minute wait for a table unless we wanted to go sit at the bar. We told him we were fine with waiting. He said perfect. The hostess returned back to her stand, and did not even acknowledge us sitting in front of her. A party of four walks in and go straight to the hostess, and she goes ahead and puts them on the list to get them a table. She then looked at us and asked if we were waiting for a table. We informed her yes, we would like to get a table. She then rolled her eyes takes a deep breath, and informs us that the only thing they have available would be in the bar and that’s the quickest way to sit. We told her we did not mind waiting, but it got to the point where we could tell She was being extremely dismissive and trying to force us to sit in the bar, so we went to the bar. She handles our menus and tells us enjoy. We sit and wait for almost 15 minutes. No one comes by and even acknowledge us, says hello or even ask if we have been helped. It is blatantly clear that we were the only people in this area without drinks and holding menus but yet no one seems to come by while multiple servers past our tables. At this point, we were extremely irritated and very disappointed in the poor gas service we experienced. Even though we had our hopes up on eating at Chili’s, we decided the best option would be for us to leave and go somewhere else. As we were getting up to leave in front of all the other servers, nobody even bother to ask if we were OK or if there was anything they can do to try to help us. I do understand that the restaurant was busy but a simple, “Hi, hello, or how are you doing?” would do wonders. Just basic communication instead of just looking at us like we have no business being there or that we are invisible. As a fellow employee of the hospitality and guest service industry, this was very disheartening of Chili’s to treat us as if we were a burden, be very dismissive, and have us as guest feel as our business...
Read moreWhen we first walked in, my husband and I gave that "should we turn around and leave" look. But we gave it a chance. The atmosphere was chaotic. Several of the waitresses were pacing the floor look lost. When we were finally seated by one, a few of the empty tables we walked by had dishes piled on them as a "collection table," the waitress referred to it as. We were then sat adjacent to on of the said tables, which was dirty and full of large crumbs on the table and booth i had to ask the server to clean it. We then watched more servers move things from table to table rather than clearing and putting away from the customers' views. Our order was finally taken and later all the food arrived but never by our waitress we also had to clear dishes and put them on the booth divider to make room for our main dishes. The food was OK, nothing to write home about my husband said his pasta wasn't very warm. We then waited and waited and waited and waited.... and waited for our server or even any of the lost waitresses wandering by who we tried getting their attention to bring us a bill. My husband and I would never walk out on a table, but if there was a time to do it... it would have been here. So now that our server is back and cashing us out with the table service iPad things she proceeded to stand there as we paid with our cc, it was very awkward to have her stand over us as we paid almost like she was trying to ensure she would get a tip. I'm not saying she was horrible, but the overall experience was lacking and felt like a waist of our time and money that we regretted. We hate complaining, but I can see why the rating of Hooters next door was better than this Chili's. I hope this was just an off...
Read moreArrived at 10:20pm, once we were inside the hosts told us that they are behind and only have 3 cooks available and the ETA is 1 hour due to the cooks needing to catch up. I checked the seating area to the the right hand side and saw that all tables that we seated were almost done eating or paying out already, not one table was waiting for food. We were told that we were able to order take out due to getting the food quicker even though it’s cooked in the same kitchen. Went to the take out station and saw a couple servers standing there just talking. We then asked how long the take out would take for 3 secret sauce burger meals and the takeout host (who was wearing a black collar shirt) stated “ Oh right away I can just cook that for you guys right now” we didn’t understand why would couldn’t be seated when it was not busy and everyone was caught up, the bar was being cleaned and the servers were wiping tables, it seemed like sidework was even done from everyone coming back out and sitting at the takeout station and just talking. I understand it’s somewhat close to closing and everyone wants to go home fast/easily but don’t turn down customers just so you can go home quickly, we come to this location all the time and we are very disappointed at this location and the service that was given. My husband and I come here very often (even at this time) and have never experienced this before. We have never had any...
