Neither my Niece nor I had been here before and had both been wanting to check it out, so we came by for lunch today. The restaurant wasn't that busy when we arrived and we were seated relatively quickly. Iaad was our server and was very friendly and helpful. He asked if we had been there before and when we said that we hadn't, he took the time to go through the menu, explaining each section and making recommendations along the way. He was very informative and helpful in making our selections. My niece decided on the "Black and Blue burger" and I decided to try the "Royal Deluxe". The chef was who brought out our meals, I was impressed by that myself, and the meals were fresh and hot. I have to say that I was thoroughly unimpressed with my sandwich. It was about half the size of my niece's burger, two dollars more and didn't come with fries; I had to buy those separately. I took a couple of bites out of the sandwich and I just wasn't impressed. The patty was good, but overall it didn't seem much more that the size and scope of a quarter pounder. Iaad came by to check on us, after apologizing for the delay due to there only being two servers and they got rushed, and asked if everything was alright. He immediately took a genuine concern in my displeasure and offered to get me something else. I decided to try the same burger my niece got and he again apologized and went to get the order in. The chef came out again with the meal, apologized about the "Royale with cheese" and wished me well. I enjoyed that burger so much, that it didn't last long and was gone in no time. Iaad is a very well versed employee having multiple roles in the restaurant and it showed in his knowledge, performance and professionalism. We very much enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be back. There are a few other things on the menu that I want to try. If you are thinking about checking these...
Read moreWe reside in the area so we've visited this restaurant several times mainly due to convenience. Unfortunately we have never been fully satisfied with our dining. Staff is kind, but very slow service. We've asked questions prior to ordering as they change their menu frequently and occasionally receive something different than what was described by the server. They're not always on point with every dish (ie: salty, too rare or too dry) so we've made sure to take notes on dishes that have been great only to find out they have totally changed the recipes by our next visit. I understand that menus are usually changed based on the season as it would create opportunities to introduce new or seasonal dishes, but we've ordered the exact same dish as per the menu only to receive something totally different. It would be better to revise the name of a dish when the recipe has drastically changed. Our favorite appetizer which kept us coming back was the firecracker shrimps. We loved it and so did everyone that accompanied us in different occasions. Today we ordered them only to find out that eventhough we ordered exactly the same appetizer as we've done in the past, the dish was completely different. It's best to say we no longer have those, but we have this new "similar" appetizer you may want to try. This way we're not sitting so long only to see that our favorite appetizer or main dish is not what was expected. Sorry, but I won't be coming...
Read moreI have dined here several times. In the past I have had good service and mediocre service. This time it was not pleasant. Staff at the sit up bar made me feel unwelcomed and that my business was not appreciated. Although I practice generous gratuities all the time. It's hard to tell why I was treated as such. It was strategically suttle...
To the management at Marlow's Tavern. I encourage you to train your staff to treat all customers with a smile and a welcome attitude. Your customers come in all shades, culture, different backgrounds etc. We all have the same money we spend it your establishment and it's green. You never know who is really dining at your restaurant and treating a customer poorly can backfire because some of us are in a positions of influence which starts with a honest review like this one.
Every customer is important and treat everyone the way you would want to be treated.
I get it, sometimes we are there in a suite and tie, and other times we are there in a T-shirt.
It's a disgusting feeling to go toyour restaurant, order a meal, pay for it, tip your staff well but feel like we are unwelcomed. It's very disappointing. There are 2 forms of bad service. The obvious rude staff which is easy to define, or the Suttle send a silent message you are not welcome here staff. What makes it worse is the ones getting poor service are sometimes the most loyal and the kindest ones....
