The best part about this place was the hostess at the front counter, hence the two stars. We Googled places to eat near where we were staying two Brazilian Steakhouses came up, this was one of them. They had similar ratings and this one was the one we chose based on the description. I knew instantly I wanted the Meat buffet.
When we arrived at 5:12 pm, the Hostess a lovely and sweet young woman greeted us with a warm and inviting smile. She asked if we had ever been, to which we replied we had not. She explained everything. She only mentioned the cheaper buffet and I explained I had seen online the more expensive one and that was what I wanted. She explained it started at 6pm and understood if we didn't want to wait. But offered to check if maybe they were ready. They weren't we said we would walk around and come back.
We came back with 4 to 5 minutes to spare we figured we would grab drinks and salad my partner could grab a soup and start eating while we waited. It is a cute family style setting, that being said, we went to get food. While getting our food the waiter proceeded to tell me i would have to wait another 25 minutes before I would be served. I said I already waited an hour that was fine, so I grabbed salad and some rice and black beans. The croutons were stale and gross, a piece of pineapple landed in my food from I do not know where, the rice was dry and black beans had a distinctly weird taste.
My partner also grabbed rice with black beans and tried the garlic beef, the chicken, and two other meats, they all had weird flavor, I tried them as well it tasted as if it had been reheated more than it should have been. The Maduro we had gotten tasted frozen and heated.
I ate my salad but we did not finish anything on the plates. We went to the hostess to express we were leaving, she felt terribly explaining they should have brought specific things out to me so that while I waited I could have the experience I was meant to have, they were not busy and she said there was no reason for me not to be given the basics of the meal I chose. She only charged us for one meal and apologized again.
Tony's Brazilian Grill, she is an asset to you. I only wish I had gotten her name, as she was the most pleasant part of...
Read moreI hope this will help management and owners improve their restaurant. I dined at lunch on 2/2 for my birthday. The cold items looked okay, chicken soup was really good. Hot items were minimal in selection, in addition there was ONE carved grilled meat. I asked about other options, nothing else was available. So for $19.95 they think that roast chicken, some type of shredded beef stew, or oxtails, validates the price. The guy slicing the meat (sirloin I believe), (not Pichana) had only well done meat. Every time I asked for MR, it was an inconvenience. After getting 2 small pieces I returned, for more, you know (the Basic concept of all you can eat buffets) He informs me it will be 20 minutes, because all the MR was cold. As I waited they ran out of the only carved meat offered. It was about 15 minutes that no one could get carved meat. A friend took me there for my birthday, she was embarrassed, though it is not her fault. I genuinely understand why there was few people dining. I ran many restaurants for years. GUARANTEED this restaurant will not make it on the experience I had on 2/2. For a similar experience, much better food, more options, better attitudes, go a few blocks south on International Drive, to Seabra Brazilian Market, they have a cafeteria inside where you pay by weight. I had much better food, and paid much less. I was hoping to love this place, so I could enjoy Brazilian cuisine in a nicer atmosphere, than a grocery store cafeteria. Atmosphere was barely better, and experience was...
Read moreFood Was a 2-3. Wish they had more selections We went a few days ago the 25th of December. Family type restaurant so we thought. All of a sudden we see grown men (customers and chefs) screaming back and forth for a few minutes at the buffet line. I wanted to grab my family and leave. Didn’t know what was going to happen. Management walks over slowly and nonchalantly after a few minutes of madness to what we thought was to address the issue not sure why they were walking over so slowly and what took them so long. The place is not that big. all of a sudden you see workers standing in between the customers and the chefs as if they were going to fight. They’re still screaming back and forth for several minutes. Instead of escorting the men out and calling the cops. Management are putting their arm around the customer as if they are not behaving in an unacceptable manner speaking to him and like applauding his behavior . Mind you the restaurant is full with other families and kids. Eventually the customers left. Management didn’t escort them out or apologize for what occurred or address it. They wanted to ignore what happened. I would never return. My kids were scared. While this is occurring you see workers laughing and afterwards too. What type of establishment is that. Go to McDonald’s next door. This type of behavior would be unacceptable! Ruined our vacation, meal and stay. Unfortunately, this is part of our families memory! There’s plenty more options around there go spend your...
