Cook Out — Restaurant in Oxford

The worst drive thru experience ever. We are traveling through on a road trip and thought we could order a burger here so we stopped. I ordered the cheddar style burger, yet it came out with no cheese? Our large unsweetened teas that I asked for (after asking if they have lemon and was told yes ) were handed to me with absolutely no ice and lemon juice packets in medium cups. When we asked for ice, the drive thru worker, Kierra, relayed this message by rolling her eyes and repeating that “I guess they need more ice.” Keep in mind that this was after waiting 10 minutes in the drive thru line. I had to park and walk back inside where I was met with even more attitude from the attendant. I explained that I would like melted cheese, but not just a cold piece of cheese thrown on the now cold burgers. They weren’t happy with my request as they once again mouthed off about what I was asking for. I’m not sure if it was a cruel joke or how the burger actually comes, but after another 10 minute wait, the burgers came out looking EXACTLY the same with a cup of melted, disgusting cheese sauce on the side. Horrible experience, disgusting food, and took longer than a sit down restaurant would have....

Absolutely horrible customer service! Employees in the drive through are not concerned at all with the fact that you are a paying customer at a restaurant and they are literally there to take your order. Don’t worry they will unhappily take your order once they have time, after they’ve finished the personal conversation they are having as you just sit there waiting. Also, same thing once you get to the window. Please don’t be rude and expect them to interrupt their personal conversations to wait on you. Be patient and wait 45 minutes for a bland, pathetic sized, old, cold, low quality meal as they socialize. Also, please stop with the unreasonable expectations of a greeting or smile…be happy with the constant eye rolls for goodness sake! And please do not question the results of what you ordered VS what you received. You don’t even know what you want. You are simply mistaken. What you receive is correct and you are just confused. You only THOUGHT you wanted no lettuce or tomatoes. You REALLY truly wanted cardboard between a random carb that is 5 days past the expiration date and you definitely wanted the lettuce and tomato. This fast food place is awesome!! Why do I say it's awesome?🤔hmm, let's see; I just finished eating my dinner which consisted of a cheese burger, chicken wrap, fries, and a drink and it only cost me $5.50(+tax)!!! Yep, the reason I say it's awesome is because it's economical!! Most reasonable pricing of any fast food restaurant in my opinion! And they are very fast and the food is good and clean!! So, if you're on a budget or just don't feel the need to "break the bank" just to eat , then The Cook Out (Oxford, MS) is the place to go to for the most reasonable cost!! The reason I didn't give 5 ⭐'s is because they forgot my tomato slice in my wrap, lol. But it's completely understandable, as it happens in other places as well, and therefore not a big deal, but I had to give an honest opinion and honest rating ✔️😊!
