It's just Sonic, so you don't expect anything special, but they've managed to make service decline dramatically since they moved to Jackson Avenue. The food is the same as it was before.
A car hop that I can only describe as lethargic brought my order out with one item made incorrectly. (No big deal, right? These things happen. You just ask for them to fix it, and they fix it, or that's how it used to work.)
This car hop apparently took umbrage at the sheer temerity of me asking for him to bring the food I had ordered and paid for, instead of what he had brought me. So he first tried to tell me that the item in question had been made correctly (it wasn't even the right item, as the ticket they used to make it and which he presumably used to get it to me clearly showed). Then he proceeded to try to get me to just take the incorrect item without putting him to the trouble of slouching back to the kitchen and slouching back again to my car with the food I had ordered to begin with.
Your choices are limited in Oxford. Even still, cross another one off the list. I will cook dinner even when I don't feel like it rather than give Sonic...
Read moreThis place it seems is on its way out of business. Half of the things you pulling in to order at is out of order and growing and is never getting repaired. When you go there, it is usually a problem, they are not excepting credit/debit cards or only serving ice cream & drinks. The owner walks around with a big hunk of tobacco stuffed into his bottom lip spitting tobacco where walks. Just imagine what he might be doing with it around food being serviced. Last but not least the Sonic app is of no use at Senatobia Sonic. Holly Springs Sonic is a different story. The problem is the hired help they are rachet. Will try to come and intimidate which is crazy. I guess they know even though their jobs are on the inside but they come out Sonic to confront. They know you are not going to get anywhere trying to make a complaint with Corporate. Hernando the owner believes whatever a certain carhop tells him. He will come out and want listen to a word the customer would say. But he will make an accusation a certain car hop told him that she actually lied. We had ordered using the app, so when we got there, we checked in with the app. On the app, it would not allow us to continue our order unless we unselected BBQ sauce for our chicken strip meal so we did. We get our meal, and as expected, no BBQ sauce so we ordered it using the speaker. They initially wanted to change us but after telling them several times that we tried ordering it using the app, they brought some out free of charge. The car hop handed it to me, and I just put it in the bag and drove home. Upon arriving home and opening the bag to eat our supper, we discovered the car hop gave us syrup rather than BBQ sauce; one of our sandwiches was not dressed correctly and the last sandwich looked as though they dropped everything from five feet and wherever it landed on the sandwich, it landed.
