After a fairly long wait in line we were findly able to order. The very first thing my husband and I noticed was how little meat that they put on my son's two steak burritos, causing us to have to ask them to please add a little more, which they did and then charged us extra for. Same thing with the ground beef on my taco salad. The guy took out a full scoop of taco meat, then "drizzled" about 3/4 of the scoopful, and returned the rest of it to the container. Very little meat for a taco salad, but I was not going to ask for and have to pay extra for what I feel like should've been considered a full scoop. Same thing with my husband's nachos. For this reason, and this reason alone, I gave three stars - because they shortchange you with meat and other toppings and then want to charge you extra when you ask for more. The Moe's in Trussville does NOT do this. They give you a fair amount for what you pay. NOW - with all of that being said, the food was fabulous - I could not find one thing wrong with it other than I wish that the black beans were drained and rinsed instead of in liquid, but that's just my preference. I would've given 5 stars for the food alone, but since I don't like feeling like I'm being ripped off, my rating is 3 stars! Restaurant was very clean despite...
Read moreI'm torn writing this. I love Moe's. My order is simple and always the same; a stack with seasoned rice, white meat chicken, bacon, queso and cheese, and a bowl of queso on the side. That's it. About a month and a half ago this cost me $21 and change, which was already expensive enough for the amount of food I get. But I paid it, gladly, sometime multiple times a week. Now it's $26 and change!! For 1 meal!! I really hate it but unless the prices come down, this will be my last visit to this restaurant. I can't justify spending $30 (after a tip) for 1 meal at a fast food restaurant at that. I guess the price hike explains the vacant parking lot of late. This is nothing against the staff btw, they are always great. Toodles till next time or never if prices...
Read moreMOE'S is always a busy place it seems. They must be doing something right. The menu was a bit confusing for me as a 1st time visitor, but it all becomes clear as you slide down the food bar and toppings and add-ons are piled on. They quickly pile it on and move you on to the next server. Lots of decisions with so much to add. The servers are quick and expect you know what's going on. Better be a quick learner! But by the time you cash out you'll be happy with your creation. Tables need more attention in dining room, and the salsa area needed a quick wipe. I'd definitely go back to this place, just for the fresh & tasty Mexican themed food. Vegetarian friendly (but I like my meats).. no matter what you like, I'm sure...
