Me and my friend went here as an experiment of sorts. We ordered the stromboli (as most people recommended) and we customized our own medium pizza to share. The food is good, but not as good as people claim it is. There is more cheese on the pizza than you know what to do with and the stromboli, while good, was sort of bland. The actual restaurant smelled of grease and felt pretty nasty, it's pretty dark in here too. There is just one guy working in the restaurant, (I assume he owns the place) and this was around 3:30 so I don't expect he would need more help. Everything just looked dirty overall and not very well maintained. The guy working seemed like a decent guy and was nice and patient. I really don't know what to say, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't what everyone is claiming it is to bad. I guess I expected to much. Take what you will from...
Read moreI feel bad giving a negative review, as I rarely do this. The curbside guy who worked there was nice. We got the lasagna, pizza, and roast beef sub, based off reviews. Where the heck are these 5-star review people eating?! It’s not the Pizza Den or either they like frozen food. The toppings came right off the pre-made, spongy, weird tasting, thin crust. The sauce and cheese were good enough, but that crust though. We’ve never left a pizza unfinished, but my husband and I couldn’t eat our pieces. The lasagna was mediocre. The roast beef sub seemed to have store-made brown gravy. And the chips are from a Lays bag, which, to their credit, you aren’t promised anything else. Just disappointed that we gave this place a shot with all of the other options we could’ve had in Oxford. Good prices, but still...
Read moreI wanted pizza, the woman tried to convince me to get the sandwiches, but that's not what I wanted (the sandwiches looked small for the price and were pretty basic IMO). She was quite pushy about it. I did not like the pizza. The pizza was not good. The crust was frozen crust (?) and like cardboard, toppings were absolutely minimal (I paid $25 for a 3 topping that I could have paid $7.99 at Walmart for). The cheesy garlic bread was a small French loaf with fake garlic butter and a small handful of cheese in the center. If they're known for their sandwiches and they know their pizza is bad (she all but said that), they should stop selling pizza. I'm trying to be fair, but it was just really really bad pizza and I'm not pleased that I spent almost $60 on 1 pizza, cheesy bread, and the most...
