LU&PE Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Palmdale

Decent food but the service was lacking the night we went. Food took over an hour. The drinks (lemonade) took a long time, too. The lemonade was not very good. The guy that eventually came in to help made it quickly and it was just lime water. Understaffed and it showed. We probably won't go back. With 4 kids, waiting 30 min for drinks and another 35 for food when there were only 2 other tables was not enjoyable. We saw two separate customers walk out because they were never helped. The 'server' was actually one of the cooks trying to go back and forth between the kitchen and the front. The food was ok but not good enough for a long wait. Staffing needs to be addressed. I was getting tired to go to the same Restaurants, so I called my friend and asked if he knows a nice place to have a pleasant and delicious meal, so he invited me to LU&PE MEXICAN RESTAURANT... when we entered, everything looked nice and clean and the waitress was very happy, smiling and told us what was the dish of the day, she brought us chips and salsa, than a little beans soup meanwhile we waiting for our order, then she brought our food, my friend asked for Chile Relleno, he said it was very delicious, I asked for Albondigas soup, everything were very delicious, now LU&PE MEXICAN RESTAURANT is in our list of the best Restaurants that we love...

Service is excellent. I assume that is why so many 5 star ratings. If based only on service that is what I would have given. Maybe this area does not have great mexican food. The food was mediocre, way too much salt. The salsa was really good. I had the wet burrito. It wasn't bad but not really good wither. Everyone else in my party was not happy with their meals.
