Nadia Cakes — Restaurant in Palmdale

I was looking for a closer place to order my kids cake for their birthdays and I've read a lot of good things about Nadia's. Plus their cup cakes are tasty. But let me tell you about their prices!! Cup cakes are already a little pricey but when it came to ordering a bigger cake from them, get ready to give them your leg. $500-$700 for my cake order +$25 for consultation. Oh noooo. Portos Bakery charges that price with a 3 tier cake & delivery because of where I'm located at so it's understandable. But at Nadia's price for just a cake order is ridiculous. I'd rather take the trip to Glendale to Portos Bakery and place my cake order knowing that Ima get the cake my way & get a great tasting cake as well. I wasted a whole week waiting on a response because the GM was never there nor the cake designer, it was always an employee speaking in their part. I love Nadia Cakes and have always been a big supporter, but when I tasked them with making cupcakes for my son's baby shower everything was subpar. Most of the cupcakes were kinda dry and had little taste (minus the cinnamon role ones) and the decoration we had them make turned out so choppy that people at the party thought I had done it myself. On top of that we ordered a cupcake tier for that day and they didn't have one for us when we picked up the cupcakes, which was a downer for sure as we had to then just lay them out on the table when we got to the party. They did a delicious wonderful beautiful perfect cake for my daughters 20th birthday last week. Stating I beat teen pregnancy on the cake. Absolutely funny. They were able to squeeze it on that tiny cake. They've got major skills. We've had their cupcakes before so we knew they were good. My daughter went in and ordered a very small cake so they were able to get it done in that amount of time. We will be back again. The only downside was it was a 5 inch for 40$ which i understand. Amazing high quality ingredients but it just means I can only buy their cakes once in awhile. A Lil pricey for me so it will be for special occasions. Thanks for making my daughters...
