I went to CiCis pizza tonight hoping to have the great experience I had as a child. I took my children here for the first time to have dinner and experience a fresh meal from the place I loved most as a young one. with the expectation of having outstanding service as I always did and good food. My food allergies and preferences have changed over the years and for religious reasons, I no longer eat pork. I expressed to the manager who would NOT disclose her name for whatever reason, to myself and family that we cannot eat pork and the veggie pizza was sitting on the same tray as a pork pizza. The manager than told myself and family that they CROSS CONTAMINATE EVERYTHING! And because of how busy they are, that they can’t accommodate even to someone allergic, the manager explained to me that she just simply tells them “you shouldn’t eat here” . As I was sitting there appalled and trying to explain to the “manager” that, that shouldn’t be allowed, another customer came up to me and told me to stop explaining because they can tell on the managers face that she did not care. It’s upsetting to me because I tell everyone I know about how great CiCis was as a kid and I convinced my whole family (who also don’t eat Pork) to EAT HERE. I’m absolutely blown away that someone wouldn’t care to even at LEAST say they will TRY to do better as far as allergies, preferences and religious reasons for certain things that are VERY common now a days that aren’t eaten. I could never come back unless that would change and that manager to have some further training on customer service and restaurant standards. I don’t think CiCi or any other place would say “just don’t eat with us” rather than accommodating to every client they come across to fulfill and satisfy everyone who would like to eat at their restaurant. I’m offended and the fact that she wouldn’t even tell me her name, makes me think she knew what she was saying/doing is wrong and didn’t want repercussions. Word of mouth goes a LONG way and I don’t think CiCis wants to lose any customers over things they...
Read moreFirst time ever in Panama City Beach, arrived late in the evening around 6:30 at night to our hotel. Already decided in the car we wanted a buffet dinner after an 8 hour drive with 2 kids. We have never been to a Cicis before and expected about the usual buffet style of food and service as any buffet. First off, walking in you see theres people getting in and the cashier is on top of it. He was friendly and clearly busy, but still making sure the job was done. Paid $45 for 3 adults and a 7 year old boy hitting a growth spurt (My 1 year old was not included) Not a bad price for a family of 5. The initial reaction is that it's a small, even cramped feeling. It is and that was not easy to navigate with a big family. However, the food was absolutely worth the price. Pizza after pizza came out hot, fresh and delicious. My 7 year old devoured the mac and cheese and cheese pizzas. The adults enjoyed a variety of combos from classic supreme and pepperoni to Chicken Alfredo and BBQ Chicken. There was a moderate salad bar with a unique variety of toppings to keep it interesting, classic pasta options (alfredo or marinara) and sometimes if you're lucky to catch it, you can grab some cheesy bread or a dessert that is fresh from the oven. When I say that people would SWARM for the dessert, I'm not joking. They are worth the fight for it when they're available. The staff was busy and kept to themselves while they worked. It was busy and they were obviously working well together. They got the food right away and did a great job keeping up. Not a single one of us left unfull. There was someone on the floor sweeping and cleaning constantly and there wasn't a team member there that I didn't see smile at least once. The bubble gum machine at the end by the exit was a tiny little thing but it made my son's night to buy him and I a gumball at the end of a satisfyingly filling meal. Will make this a regular stop! Thanks for the great first experience...
Read moreMy family of 7 arrived and stood in line behind a family of 4. No one greeted us or acknowledged we were there. The family in front of us told us the same had happened to them. Not long after a family of 4 came in behind us as well. The girl up front who should have been checking people out was diligently stocking the salad bar. They were not busy and nothing on the salad bar was near empty. She proceeds to do this for 7 to 8 minutes. Multiple times people from my family and the family in front of us asked if she could ring us up or get someone who could. She just said "I'm stocking the salad bar." After 8 minutes of being ignored my family of 7 left and so did the family behind us. I then called to speak to the manager and he said that girls job was to stock the salad bar and ring people up. After I told him our experience his only response was "the salad bar is just as important as guests." I actually could not believe what he had just said. My advice: avoid this place as...
