Shane's Rib Shack — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

This is only based upon this particular visit. I was super excited to pick up my Shack potato for dinner, for myself and family. It's our favorite dish here! I had 15 minutes left until pick up, and I received a call from the store saying they had no potatoes. I of course questioned how they could be out basically because they didn't even want to attempt to prepare one?? I understand the cooking time etc, but it was far from closing and I ordered 3. I wasn't given the option to have fries in place of the potatoes which I hadn't considered until I got home and was thinking about how I could have substituted for the same taste. So this is pretty much why, not to mention when asked what do I want in replace I was first just offered to simply remove the 3 orders and I had to insist I needed to switch the meal to something else off the top of my head by memory, so I ordered what my daughter ordered. Grilled Chicken fingers with BBQ. That was horrible, my one daughter couldn't eat it, I also couldn't eat it, and the other daughter (all of us had previously wanted the potatoes and I have 4 kids) lost her 1 piece she was able to eat during the night. The chicken simply wasn't fresh or something it made her sick and I couldn't eat it either it had a weird texture and taste. When called about the fact the girl was very kind about it, just not helpful at replacement just perhaps shortening my order, there were others items I wanted in replacement but was told they were without those also so I simply said well could you tell what you may have then, her reply was well we have everything just not the potatoes or the vegetables your asking for. ::Update:: I was still craving my potato, so I went the next day for lunch. They had the potatoes yay!!! But the ladies at the front seemed sassy, on the phone and kinda smarty pants-ish at pick up... Like why????? I just asked to confirm you had potatoes today. I cannot recommend Shane's enough! I want to start by saying we weren't expecting anything over the top, the bbq caterer we had originally booked was unfortunately hit pretty hard during the hurricane. They understandably had to cancel our rehearsal dinner bonfire.

So I reached out to Shane's, not being in the area I didnt even know if they were operational. They responded as soon as they knew that they were able to do it. With less than a weeks notice they catered our event of 60 people, were on time, set it up quickly and brought us some delicious peach cobbler as a gift! All our food was hot, fresh and delicious. And there was plenty of it!

Not only did they pull this off, but a guest had asked if the brand were vegetarian and when they realized someone there was vegetarian (a detail in my post hurricane wedding chaos I forgot to consider) and they left and came back with 3 big fresh salads. I was pretty blown away by that! I'm actually more impressed with them than I am my actual wedding caterer.

We also heard right after they helped us, they went into the city and were feeding 600 people that had lost their homes.

We will make a point to visit shane's every time we're in PCB! We'll see you...
