'Ehh, it's ok' sums up about everything of this experience.
I had came years ago and remember it being better then, but it seems like nowhere on the strip I've been to does an outstanding breakfast. The search continues.
The reasons for the three stars here: Service, as stated in many other reviews, is pretty extraordinarily slow for the number of staff on hand. Water's never offered. The server was rather inattentive, it easily took five to ten minutes for him to pick up my card when it came time to pay. My family aren't particularly large breakfast eaters, so my uncle just wanted waffles. Mom just wanted some Danish and coffee and offered to split the chicken and waffle. No warning or word of explanation came that the waffles served w that are NOT ordinary waffles in the least, but are filled with a myriad of veg, herbs, and are not particularly tasty by themselves (even though they match well w the fried chicken.)
Onto the food: first, the aforementioned Danish is essentially plopped onto the table straight from the buffet (if you come on a weekend). Everything was cold. You'd imagine for the prices asked they could at least warm things up. A few minutes in a warm oven would do wonders. The muffin was literally chilled, as if just coming from a refrigerator. The chocolate "croissant" had not a hint of crispness to it. It pulled apart with a struggle and not a sound. And the cinnamon roll was a solid... Eh it's ok. But still without any warmth.
My hash had a nice amount of spice and flavors going on in it. The short rib was relatively tender. However the eggs served with it were an abomination. I figured that here they would at least make a half-decent scrambled egg. No. It was tough, overcooked, not the least bit light, fluffy, or creamy. I would expect this from Dennys, but even there I would have been disappointed with this quality of egg.
Overall, nothing was inedible. Just everything failed to wow in any way. I only had a few things, but what I can sum it up with is: avoid the scrambled eggs (and I would assume anything omelet like as well with how butchered they were). Don't order the danish/pastry basket, or if you do, avoid the muffins and the joke of a "chocolate croissant". Be forewarned that the waffles with the chicken and waffles don't just have bacon added to them, but a whole slew of things making them taste more like stuffing than waffles. And don't expect much in the way of service.
Nothing inedible, but nothing great. Not a great showing for the Four Seasons. For the price, I'm sure there must be better spots to stop at for breakfast on the strip.
*Also, scrolling through the reviews page, it seems there are numerous five star reviews from folks with only one review to their name. I really wish maps had a way to filter these one time only folks, as they seem to be...
Read moreSadly disappointing. This place came recommended by locals. I was hesitant as the online reviews were just over 4/5, but still gave it a try. My partner and I arrived just after 12pm and decided to go with the lunch menu due to our plant based diet, although the buffet was tempting and beautiful.
We elected to share the burrata, crispy cauliflower and veggie burger. We ordered our meal to come with buratta and cauliflower apps first and burger to follow. Additionally, I ordered a glass of Sancerre when we ordered our food.
Once we placed the order, our waiter did not return until after our food arrived. After about 15 minutes, with no wine or appetizers to speak of, we tried flagging down someone, anyone; however, all wait staff seemed preoccupied.
A few minutes later all 3 dishes came out. I informed the kind woman who delivered them, that I had not yet received my wine and that we would need share plates. It wasn’t worth mentioning that we wanted to enjoy our apps prior to our main. My wine arrived 2 minutes later just after the share plates.
The food left a lot to be desired: I haven’t been to an Applebees or TGI Fridays for years, but I can’t imagine the food here was much better. Crispy Cauliflower — nothing special or unique. Fried and with a standard Asian citrus sweet/sour sauce. Burrata — the burrata cheese itself was not creamy or of good quality; this lower quality was “masked” by the strong pesto sauce it was accompanied by. The tomatoes were not heirloom, rather simple cherry. The toast was not very fresh. The grilled nectarines or peaches were bitter. Burger — the veggie patty was tasty but mushy and did not keep its shape at all. The burger fell apart upon just picking it up. The bread was not fresh which made it impossible to take a bite without all the contents falling out.
Once we were ready to pay and placed our card in the bill presenter, we waited for close to 10 minutes for the waiter the collect it. Please note, the restaurant was not busy at any time during our visit.
Other notes: We saw a host stop with the guests she was seating, to wait for a bus waiter to cross their path. The bus waiter could have and should have stopped. A napkin was dropped when the woman next to us got up and went to the restroom. It took several minutes for one of the many available support staff to address it. Dishes were not cleared in a timely manor at any table in my line of site. Although aloof, the staff were all friendly and polite. The atmosphere was nice but not so nice that the service, food and attention to detail should suffer.
I will not return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion. There was a great little coffee stand in the hall just before this restaurant —...
Read moreThis restaurant pretends to be Italian with very few dishes and concepts that are actually Italian so the dissapointment begins to mount when you are just thinking of what to order for lunch. Tuna sampler was underwhelming and came in a Japanese-style bento box. Ordering shrimp tacos in an upscale restaurant in hingsight may hsve been a mistake but I was craving seafood and there was not a lot of options available (there is plenty of chicken qnd steak items). The tacos were beautifully constructed in a form of a mountain topped with pico de gallo. The shrimp were large and not chopped which made tacos impossible to eat without the whole thing falling apart, thus knife and fork had to be used. All other ingredients were present except for flavor. Having asked to see the desert menu, I was presented with a plate instead with three choices on it, two of which were kid-themed. I didn't feel like cupcake and went for the adult-looking key lime pie with a bullet-proof crust. My americano came without milk nor sugar (no one ever asked) so I had to request it. The ambiance and everyone here was nice, but for a restaurant attached to the Four Seasons one would expect a different kind of an experience. On a more positive note, I went here for breakfast twice and it was in line with the...
