Mobile order was a waste of money and time…
Please remove the false advertisement posted around the building that states “skip the lines and order ahead”. My order was placed and paid for online at least 15-20 minutes before I arrived and I went inside to “skip the lines”. The lady at the register took the order of the man in front of me, walked off, then Proceeded to ignore me along with the rest of staff for the next 20 minutes while they worked the drive through. I was late for work because of this, and had to leave without food to prevent being more late than I already was. If you’re going to disrespect me and my time, and least have the decency to look me in the eye and greet me before you walk off, or remove the false advertising that gives customers unrealistic expectations about the service you offer.
Like I said, please remove the false advertisement posted around the building that states “skip the lines and order ahead”. Although, in hindsight, this was obviously an unrealistic expectation. Nonetheless, it was an unrealistic expectation for this McDonald’s that I only had in mind due to this advertisement and constant solicitation by workers which I already know is trained into them by management. If you choose to commit to this false advertisement then I can only assume that you actually don’t care about customers enough to be upfront about what you’re offering with the app.
The app is useful for the business because you get statistics, and potentially quicker traffic through the drive through when the majority of your customers use it (which they clearly did not). Mobile ordering is only useful to customers for earning and redeeming points. Anything else, such as increased convenience when it comes to the ordering process or pick up process, cannot be guaranteed by the business and should not be advertised in such a way. I have to wait until this evening just to get my money back because they couldn’t even acknowledge my existence during the first 15-20 minutes that I was standing at the counter… if we could have at least established that my order wasn’t ready yet because they were so behind with the sheer volume of incoming orders then I could have just canceled my order with no hard feelings and went on with life. Read moreHorrible!! Idk what happend to the place it used to be my favorite McDonald's! I live close by and have been going there for years. The place used to be clean and run like a well oiled machine. I had even complemented the manager on how well she (older female) ran her store. Her employees were always respectful, courteous, and gave the best service I had seen outside of Chick-fil-a. She explained how she treated her staff comprised mostly of young teens like family and it showed as the working atmosphere was excellent! I have not seen that manager in a while so I will assume she has moved on and boy does it show! The lobby now closes early due to short staffing forcing you to go to the long line in the drive-thru which I hate! I like to eat my food hot and at a table when I can. When I do make it inside the wait is often longer than the drive thru line as there is no one working the register. I watch teens constantly walk past you like there are not people waiting to be served. I have often watched customers walk out of the lobby in frustration without being served. I have had employes walk up to me and just stare at me instead of greeting me and asking me if they can take my order. I have asked questions about different products and had the employes respond " I don't know" and refuse to try and ask for assistance. When i am dining in emmployees call you up to the counter when your order is ready instead of bringing it to u like they are supposed to. I have had employes assume I was dining out and place my order in a bag and when I informed them for the second time that I am dining in they will take the bag of food and put it on a tray and had it to me instead of setting my tray up like they should. I have witnessed employes play and horse around and talk personal matters that should not be discussed for customers to hear. I could go on and on but you get the idea by now. In short the service is horrible and the place is often filthy with food on the floor in the dining area and nasty tables. I have had to get an employee to wipe down a table so I could eat on a clean table. When I ask I am often met with an attitude like I asked for something I was not entitled to have. The place...
Read moreI would rate this 0 stars if I could. My family visited several months ago and had problems, but thought we’d try again on our way home from Birmingham. Big mistake. I understand places being short staffed, but our experience was ridiculous. If a restaurant doesn’t have their dining room open, they should have a sign on the door stating this. When we found the door locked, we placed a mobile order and got in the drive through line. After waiting 5 minutes at the speaker with no response from employees, I drove to the window. I had to wait as another customer who’d gone through the line walked up to the window because he’d had a problem with his order and was unable to enter the building because all doors were locked. At the window I was told that it didn’t matter if I had a mobile order, I still had to stop at the speaker and would have to go around and get back in line. I explained that I’d waited at the speaker 5 minutes with no response. I was told to go around and get in line again. Thirty minutes after getting in line for the first time, we finally received our order. A large frappe was filled about 3/4 full, fries were cold with no salt, a 20 piece chicken nugget had 18 nuggets, drinks we asked to have no ice had ice. Sprite was out so they just weren’t going to give us that drink. When I told them we still needed another drink, they then told me the sprite was out. My son asked for Fanta. When he took a drink there was absolutely no flavor. The only way to ask to have our order fixed would have been to get BACK in the line and go through the drive through again or walk up to the window. My family will not visit this...
