AZ Pizza Co. Peoria — Restaurant in Peoria

UPDATE 10/31/25 They were entirely unprepared for Halloween. When something like Halloween, or some holiday, is coming up, you beef up your staffing and plan to be busy. This location failed at that this year. My girlfriend has been standing in the store for an hour and a half. She doesn't even know if her order has been started or not. Another person canceled their order and was only given a partial refund. The owner told them that there was nothing they could do to help them and that they have to come back some other time. This is a mess. This could be detrimental to repeat business. This was a failure.

So far I've had pizza delivered and a sub delivered. I haven't experienced the service first hand or the atmosphere first-hand. But based on the food alone, five stars for sure! I will dine in soon and then come back to this review to let you know what I thought about the service and...

UPDATE: The owner responded with a lie. There were 3 other people in the restaurant at the same time we were. Owner instead of apologizing is saying none of our pizza was cold. Owner was not there to see that we waited so long and in fact did get cold pizza. Sad. We each ordered 2 slices with the lunch special. After a 20 minute wait each of us got one slice that was hot and one slice that was cold. Both employees were busy scrolling on their phones at the front counter and the cashier was busy putting on lipstick. Very unprofessional. We won't be going back. The owner's response is a COMPLETE LIE. There were 3 other people in the restaurant...

Ordered a lunch special that consists of a 6in. sub, chips and a drink. I picked the philly cheesesteak as my sub - HORRIBLE! Steak was cold and unseasoned, onions and peppers were not cooked, sandwich bread was refrigerator cold, cheese wasn't even melted! I'm not sure why it took 10 mins to make my sub when there were NO other customers in the store, and clearly nothing was cooked. Then when I called to voice my concerns, the manager tried to tell me my steak wasn't cold AS IF I WASN'T STANDING THERE TOUCHING IT!! Absolutely absurd service, nasty sandwich, I will never be back. And if you want a GOOD philly cheesesteak, try Jersey...
