I visited on Monday after the snowstorm and the walk through the dirty flush was worth it! I came with a friend and though we were a little confused at first on the dining experience, we both left very happy. We split the crispy fried brussel sprouts and out of curiosity, the shrimp and crab corndog. Brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious, corndog we both had mixed feelings on at first but after having it as leftovers it was surprising how much I ended up liking it. Perhaps it had something to do with the oil cooling down? My friend ordered their chicken ramen, I opted for building my own as a picky pescatarian--the wait time wasn't too long and it was pleasant on cold day. We both thought the quality of the ramen is one of the best we've had, springy chewy noodles, delicious broth, great flavorful toppings (I'd recommend the shiitake mushrooms, they're worth the extra dollar for the sweetness they bring.) Their dragonfruit lemonade was refreshing, though if you're a sugar fiend like me, you'll find it's nothing tooth rotting but nothing too tart or sour. Casual environment (pay before you eat,) fun painted walls, super kind staff. Couldn't recommend it enough! Super diverse menu, isn't afraid to try out wacky trendy concepts. :)

From the silent traveler to all of you, welcome it's been a while but I am back with more reviews and more things to talk about this is one of the latest things that I just came across in philadelphia. This small but very full of life restaurant has a variety that you cannot miss very unique and full of taste from the homelands of Japan. Definitely stop in your greeted with a smile and with a variety of ways to order. Take advantage of all the great things they have to offer the sushi donut is one that blew my mind and the ramen is really good. Just from the pictures alone is just a small piece of what they have to offer definitely take the time out it has a great atmosphere it's around a really good area take a load off great for lunch and it's really nice for the evening time great for a couples date and even a small family gathering.

Had the spicy tonkotsu ramen with the black sauce + gyoza. Ramen: Noodle overcooked, sesame oil overwhelming, egg tasted so off almost like korean rice wine. Gyoza: you can teach a 5 year old how to deep fry frozen gyoza, so no comment here. Cleanliness: sticky table, dirty spoons, disgusting looking tray. Vibe: multiple alarms and timers constantly going off. Narrow aisle. Worst dinning experience I've had in a long time. My $1 Korean instant noodles taste better. The name Lifting Noodles is fitting. I was lifted out of my seat right after tasting the egg.
