I placed an order around 12pm on April 29th at the Walnut street location. I intended for the order to be placed at the Chestnut street location so I was unable to pick it up at that time. When I called to cancel the order, the young lady told me that I was unable to because the food had already been prepared. This makes sense to me as the company would not like to lose out on the money.
I spoke to the cashier and told her I would pick it up after work and to just hold on to it for me. She agreed and when I arrived later that evening to pick up the food, she informed me that the food had been sold and I had to wait to be served fresh food. I asked her then, why am I paying for food that is not prepared when I wanted to cancel for a refund initially?
After some back and forth she informed me she could process a refund and I would receive my money back in 5 days or so. It has been over 9 days and I have not received any refund. I did not get any confirmation that the refund was processed, all I was able to get was a photo of the receipt that had "No pickup" written on it.
It has been incredibly difficult to get someone to speak with and when I do everyone is giving the run around. The young lady says "I have to call speak with my manager for approval" and then today the gentleman says "I cannot call a manager, there's no way to do that". Horrible service and horrible customer satisfaction. Will not be returning
Edit( Responding to Owner): That's mostly correct. The points you are incorrect about is that you SOLD the food that I was coming to pick up. The young lady stated that a customer came shortly after I placed my order and ordered the same thing.
Also I didn't refuse to wait and leave, I asked since you already SOLD and were PAID for food that I did not want, could I now be refunded. Once that was situated, I asked for confirmation which I was unable to be provided, and opted to get a photo of the receipt for at least some sort of proof. Lucky for me that I did that considering this message.
I appreciate the refund being processed at this point, but please do not try to manipulate the story to fit your narrative. The truth is the truth and at this point you have done what you need to to correct the...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were hungry and decided to leave a nearby rooftop bar to find something to eat. We had literally just paid a $20 cover charge, had one drink, and then found out the kitchen was closed. So, we wandered the streets and stumbled upon this small boutique spot that serves Indian street food.
We each ordered a chicken and a lamb wrap. The flavor was great, but the food was incredibly salty—so salty that it made us wonder if they were trying to cover something up or if the salt was being used to preserve the meat. Or maybe the cook just accidentally knocked over the salt shaker… lol…who knows. Either way, it wasn’t funny—I have high blood pressure. We didn’t even go back to the bar afterward because I had to take my medication right away.
I’m writing this the morning after, having eaten nothing else besides a bit of salad and water before that meal. I kid you not—both my girlfriend and I ended up with stomach issues and were glued to the toilet. Luckily, we don’t live together, or we’d have been fighting over bathroom time—no lie!
I know this place has a lot of great reviews, and I can see why—maybe the cook that night just went overboard with the salt. Still, I won’t be returning unless I know they address that issue. As I mentioned, the food was very flavorful on its own. Honestly, it didn’t even need much salt, if any. I’d be curious to hear if others had the same experience with the wraps being...
Read moreOne of the reasons I’m giving this place a zero star is because the employee(s) who take orders at the counter are sometimes so obnoxious. During my last visit, I had interacted with their female employee 3 times and she just stares at you blank, she doesn’t even have the decency to smile or say “you’re welcome” when you’re super polite and you keep saying “thank you so much”. Also, other folks who are preparing the food are not that great either when it comes to welcoming your customer with a simple smile.
I usually like their food and I have visited this place multiple times, I haven’t had terribly bad experiences apart from a few instances when the chicken biryani had chicken that was totally stale and dark and completely inedible.
This place needs to learn that they need to be more pleasant and employ people that have some basic manners and a positive attitude.
Another reason to give this a zero star is their filthy tables. Their wooden tables literally have food particles stuck in between the cracks and they don’t even care to clean it. Looks like the food has been collecting in the...
