Twenty Highland Tavern — Restaurant in Phoenix

I love that I can stop in after a long day at work to relax and enjoy an ice cold glass of beer, possibly fill my growler to take some home, AND.... Do some grocery shopping as well before I leave. It's a very comfortable environment with friendly staff to serve you up quickly. They always have a very nice rotating selection or craft and micro brews on tap. They have never had a problem if a taste is requested prior to committing to a glass full or growler fill. They have daily specials on food and drinks and even a day for growler fill specials. Let's not forget happy hour, that's there too! I do enjoy my visits...

If you sit at a high top table facing the ice cream aisel, you can experience the magic of drinking reasonably priced beer while watching people become baffled and overwhelmed by the enormity of options. They freeze like deers in headlights. Sometimes they text a friend for help. I watched a couple stare at ice cream for ten minutes before taking a dance break in the middle of the aisle and then decisively grab a dairy free cookies and cream. It's better than going to the movies....

Twenty Highland is a nice respite from the chains around outdoor malls. White table without the cloth, good selection of food types with Vegas only modestly supported. Staff is good and knows their menu. Adequate adult beverage availability in a friendly environment. Well enough liked in the neighborhood that there is frequently a short wait.
