Let me start off by saying, if I could give zero stars, I would!! We were in town, from GA, visiting friends for St. Patrick's day. We had gotten in, grabbed a drink, and we're hanging out on the outdoor patio. I noticed the officers on horseback and saw they were allowing people to pet the horses. I went over, and I cracked a joke with one of the officers, then asked permission to also pet the horses. I own a pet sitting business in GA and literally watch any and every kind of animal you can imagine. That being said, I asked one of the officers if the horses were allowed treats and could I buy them carrots. He said sure, so I literally went to 5 different establishments to ask AND purchase carrots for the horses. At my fifth place, I finally got a yes they have carrots. 🙌🏼 I was so excited! I was given permission again to give them to the horses. The officer told me in his 20+ years, he's been doing this. I'm the only person who has ever done that. After all of the fun is if finished, I got back in line to go back into Aldeans, where I am denied access and told I can not enter because I am too inebriated. I was dumbfounded. I asked for clarification. They couldn't clarify or give me an example because I hadn't done anything. At this point, I'm annoyed. My whole party was inside. I told them and we left. I then realized we, my husband and I, had an open tab. I politely asked to please go inside to pay my tab, and I was denied. I offered all kinds of solutions, the manager could escort me, and he said he wouldn't. I asked if an officer could escort me, they said no. At this point, I'm livid! They told me we have your card, it's fine. I said, "Absolutely not, I'm attempting to pay my bill, and you're not allowing me, that's theft!" He said we'll add the gratuity, don't worry. I'm actually fuming at this point. That's unacceptable behavior & I've never encountered such horrible management in my entire life. I canceled my card & they didn't receive a dime from me that day! What an absolute joke of a management/security team! I also know that it was a pure power move attempt because we went across the street to Tequila Cowboy, and their petty selves literally told TC not to allow me access once I had already made it through!! I was allowed access once I spoke to the manager...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar in Pittsburgh due to the unprofessional and aggressive behavior of a staff member who turned out to be a manager named Chad.
I arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 PM with a friend and, before heading inside, I walked near the patio by the river for some fresh air. Out of nowhere, a side door swung open violently, and Chad, dressed like security with a walkie-talkie, loudly asked, “How can I help you?” in an unnecessarily aggressive manner. I calmly responded, “I’m good, just getting some fresh air,” and then proceeded to enter the restaurant.
As soon as we were being seated, I saw Chad passing by, so I politely called him over and introduced myself, letting him know that his approach outside was uncalled for. I also pointed out that the patio area was open, with no signs indicating restricted access. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he immediately became defensive and then accused me of “smelling like weed” before saying, “I’m not serving you, you need to leave now.”
I was completely shocked and embarrassed by his behavior. As someone who is on disability due to a motorcycle accident and legally prescribed medical marijuana, this felt like a blatant act of discrimination. However, rather than cause a scene, I quietly left with my friend. On my way out, I asked a female security staff member for the manager’s name, and to my surprise, I learned that Chad himself is one of the managers, alongside another person named Bobby.
It is unacceptable for any manager to act so aggressive, discriminatory, and unprofessional toward a paying customer. His behavior not only ruined my experience but also raised concerns about how he might be treating other customers and employees. I am leaving this review as a warning to management and future guests. No one should have to experience this type of treatment, and I hope this incident is addressed so it does not...
Read morewalked in, told the blonde hostess we had 3 people, and then had to repeat myself again before she grabbed two menus and handed us off to another hostess. the 2nd hostess was told where to sit us, so it wasn’t her fault, but she tried sitting us at a 2-person high top. obviously that wasn’t going to work with a party of 3, so she started cleaning off the nearest empty table that was big enough for all of us. she walked away to grab us one more menu before sitting us at the table, and the blonde hostess came over to the same table to seat another group. we told her we were getting ready to be sat here by a different hostess and her only response was “yeah.” that must’ve confused the group she was actively sitting, so they said “wait i thought we were sitting here?” and once again the hostess just said “yeah.” we ended up not being sat there and the blonde never once tried to figure out a solution or even apologize for her mistake, but rather just ignored us after she sat the second group and was not happy when we had to go back to the host stand to get seated again. the 2nd hostess was so kind and apologized so many times (which she didn’t have to do because none of this was her fault!) but i could not get over how rude and unhelpful the blonde...
