Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Plainfield

Got seated in bar area. Finally got drinks and order taken. I ordered the eight ounce well done light seasoning with fries apple sauce and a ceaser salad with no dressing and my wife ordered the six ounce medium well with fries and apple sauce. We had the onion ring for appetizers. I got a water with lemon and she had a Diet Mt. Dew. The lady didn't even both writing it down. Which would have been fine if one thing actually came out correctly as we ordered it. Got our drinks which i got water no lemon and the wife got Diet Pepsi. She replaced Pepsi with diet mt dew but I still got no lemon. Got onion rings and salad at same time. Onion rings were well done with most of them burt through and salad came with full dressing. They took salad back said they would be right back with my salad. I finished eating my onion rings and still didn't have a salad so I asked for it. Finally got It and it still had salad dressing on the side which whatever I took it out and picked out this stuff that spilled out of it. When we finally did get our food. The wifes six ounce was well done and dry that looked like a four ounce with a hand full of fries and no apple sauce. My Eight ounce had seasoning on it no very little juice with a hand full of fries and no apple sauce. MY wife asked for a1 sauce and after the bartender/ waitress left ur table and went t the back to get it (or so we thought that's what she was doing, she came out with nothing and went back behind the bar and was checking the 2 customer at the bar eating. Then she was gone again and when she never returned my wife went and waited by the bar and had a nice waitergrab a bottle of a1. The waitress brought a refill of water (no lemon and never mentioned the steak sauce.

Ordered desert from the table instead of waiting on her to celebrate ask if we needed anything. She asked if we wanted to go containers for food and grout one and was gone again. We ordered the maple butter alone (we always do) and when a different waitress brought it she didn't bring spons as requested. She had to hp get us spoons. Our waitress never even noticed we had a dessert. The dessert we could only eat the ice cream and maybe 2 smal bites f the blonde as it was burnt and hard as a rock and tasted awful. We were never asked hw w we were paying r offered to g drinks or anything. We paid at the table n the tablet and we left...still never got our applesauce. That was BY FAR the worst experience ever at am Applebee's. Bill was $48. And honestly it wasn't worth $5! I just wanted to laugh at the whole situation including te bartender but I'm sure she wouldn't have noticed nr cared. Highly...

Server : Taylor Where do I even start? First off. We were seated by a very respectful gentleman. He must be the manager 😂 We sit down and we see 4 waitresses pass within minutes. Hoping one was our server, a young pale faced woman comes to our table and she doesn't greet us with her name, nor how we are doing today . Respectfully the server should start with the woman .But in todays case she took the easy road and asked are we ready to order. She takes a Good 5 minutes or more to get our drinks in which they were slapped on the table and we werent given straws, so I asked. She gave us the last 2 in her apron as she was walking away.She's unprepared in my eyes so far .We order our food and drinks with an appetizer at the same time .We have sat for 20 minutes on an appetizer, and waited another 30 for our dinner . The appetizer was .. Okay . Nothing like any other service I've ever had . The only reason we knew her name was because the party next to us was greeted by the same server and she respectfully started with the woman and ended with the dad the group. By far the worst service from a server. Contemplated switching sections . I also watched another server clean off the same table that was greeted by Miss Taylor. Lastly, she didn't even ask how I wanted my steak cooked and had to come back to ask me .We feel disrespected, and this service is in the record book for me . I cannot stand being looked at and judged .You would think this girl has some beef with us or that she knows us. But we have never met this woman, but me and my girlfriend will not be coming back to this location. And when I asked the bartender to step out for a cigarette, I would have liked to have left my ID or something so that they know I would come back. I use to love eating at Applebee's but this place has gone way down hill. I ordered the 6 Oz. Sirloin medium rare. We waited a while to get our salads then when the meals came on the sizzling plate it could not have been any more well done than what it was. Maybe the cook doesn't understand English. Due to time we had to eat and go, my wife couldn't finish hers. It looked like flank steak but not sirloin and was burnt on the bottom from the plate. The waitress said the manager would come talk to us, but she was busy behind the bar, while 2 hostesses sat on their butt looking at laptops. Think I'll stick with Chillies a few doors down for now on.

Update: after we talked to Sheri ( the manager) on the phone we gave Applebee's another try. We ate there Sunday afternoon and ordered basically the same order. This time, both steaks were cooked very well, everything was seasoned and tasted great. Nothing was burnt or overcooked. I'm glad we gave them a second chance, we really enjoyed the meals. And by the way this is the second time we have had Sabrina as our waiter and we will request her from now on, she has a great smile and we wish there were more like her.
