We came into town to have lunch and we're excited to try the food here because of the great reviews we had read. Arriving to the restaurant, we sat down and saw that the ceiling was leaking water and the bucket catching the water was full. That gave a weird vibe. We got our menus and started to order. By this time, it was past noon, but more than half of the drinks were not available because they didn't have the ingredients or because they hadn't made the drinks yet. We decided to order whatever drink was available : coffee and iced tea, very mediocre. By the way, we did not see any adults working the front desk. One teenager and a younger sister were taking orders and serving the foods. We ordered a bowl of noodle soup and when I unraveled the noodles I found a long twisted strand of hair. Gross. I had taken a sip of the soup without knowing and was disgusted that this hair was in my soup. I discretely informed the teenage girl who took our order, because there was a family sitting next to our table and I wanted to be courteous. The girl took the bowl of soup off our bill and asked us if we wanted to get a new bowl of the same noodle soup or order something different. After finding the hair in the soup, I really lost my craving for soup. I decided to get the banh mi thinking it would be the safer bet. We waited for over 20 minutes for this banh mi. Foods for people at the next table came before ours and our table was just left alone. The banh mi was not worth the wait or the price. They skimped on the meat and vegetables and the sauce was very little. We wasted so much time here for a mediocre sandwich and...

What a nice place to eat! A bit out of the way... but well worth going to. The server started us off with a small bowl of egg drop soup, with a perfectly hard-cooked quail egg in it ... yum... included in the lunch. The summer rolls with shrimp were fresh, delicious and considerably large. The Bahn Mi sandwich, incredible! The chef even made me a grilled, marinated pork sandwich..., instead of just pulled pork... I was thrilled. This is the same grilled pork that is usually served with vermicelli rice noodles... wow! The servers are so nice, pleasant and attentive... obviously they care about the restaurant and it's customers... it definitely shows. I will be going again soon... next time a bowl of Pho that comes in three sizes, I'll try a chicken Bahn Mi, and perhaps a vegetable dish. For the soup, two Summer rolls, the two Bahn Mi and two soft drinks.... including tip... under $25......

I previously reviewed these guys at 5 stars because we had very good food here. But that doesn't make up for the bad service so I'm reducing it to a 1. The first time we had to wait forever. This time we placed the order for pickup through Door Dash because they didn't answer their phone. We got an order confirmation as well as an email saying our order was ready for pickup. We arrived 15 minutes after the "your order is ready" email and they didn't have the order. They didn't even put us ahead of other orders when they saw our confirmation emails from Door Dash. It's an hour after it was supposed to be ready and WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR OUR ORDER. If we hadn't already paid, we'd be walking out of here. We will never go here again no matter how good the food is.

Update, we did end up leaving and had to call Door Dash for a refund. They granted my refund right away...

Wanted to like this place since I had gotten a couple good reviews from coworkers. We both got the rare steak and well done flank pho and a limeade. The best thing about the meal was the limeade. The pho for delivery is $15. Tried to take a pic of the noodles and meat. The meat amount was alright. However they skimp super hard on the noodles which are the cheapest ingredient. Very weird. The broth tastes like water down beef broth. I didn’t get any flavor from spices. Not sure they even used any spices. New to the area, so I’m still on the search for a good pho spot.

The pho ga was great:) I'm from Seattle and moved here last year...I haven't had pho in Maine yet but I'm happy to announce it is just as great here as there! Actually, the chicken was better here...the broth was flavorful and the tables had a variety of sauces to choose from. The surrounding area doesn't look fancy but I didn't mind-overall I'm very pleased...the parking was easier too than the other places I've unsuccessfully attempted to go to in Portland. Affordable, and delicious:)
