Short Version: First time customer to this location. Food was good. Order correct. Poor customer service. Will not return.
I work in the medical lab (people who run your tests) at night and this was the only place open for me close by (around 10pm). My workplace does not have a cafeteria or anything just a vending machine kiosk. I haven't been to this McDonald's before. The drive thru line was long but moved quickly with two ordering windows. Last positive will be that the food was still good and order correct.
The negative: I pull up to the first ordering window. No one spoke to me so I thought maybe they're just using one tonight. And then eventually pulled up to the second one. The screen was the previous person's order so I could NOT see the menu. I waited a bit to see if it'll reset and for the employee to acknowledge me. Finally, I heard a voice ask for my order and I asked if they could change the screen back. He quickly replied in an irritated way that, "it's broken what do you want?!?!" And so I was upset with that response and trying to remember what's on the menu and he says something quickly and abruptly again, "let me know what you want," I roll my eyes and try to order and let them know that it is one order but please separate the bags. He clarified that and so I knew he understood. Roll up to payment window, the girl in the window didn't acknowledge my presence or anything just looking at her phone but when she finally did she was fine and polite. The pick up window the guy there was okay too and the voice was different so I do not think it was him. But the soda he gave me had soda on the sides and then proceeded to give me ONE bag. I was done at this point. Just sort of the icing on the cake right as I leave. The two bag thing wasn't dire and the order was correct so I left it at that. But this experience at the ordering screen was to the point that I needed to write this. I don't want to return to this McDonald's even if it's the only thing open late. I can understand low wages but that still doesn't mean you can be rude to people. I know it must be repetitive to repeat that it is broken. It's part of customer service. And it wasn't always on the order screen. For other cars I did see that it was on the menu screen. So it wasn't going to be every...

I don't really know how to say this without saying like a self-destructive moron, but this place is the worst and gets worse every time I go there. Sure, the easy answer is to stop going. It's like a car accident on the freeway: you don't WANT to see a tragedy, but you can't stop yourself from looking.
Some key features of this McDanks: The fryers are ALWAYS beeping. I don't know how employees don't go insane with the non-stop beeping. You'll either get zero napkins or 4,000. The ketchup dispenser is ALWAYS empty, but just at that point where you push the pump and and it blasts out a tiny bit that sprays on you. There's usually someone panhandling by the drive-thru or even just sitting next to door. And there's usually a transient hanging out in there as long as possible before someone finally kicks them out. You can also watch transients walk in, fill their cups up with soda or tea and then leave. They're chronically under-staffed. Employees are always quitting or not showing up to work. And you know this because managers constantly complain. I've literally never had an experience where I would describe the customer as "friendly." I have, however, had two employees tell me they're glad to be out of there after they had given their notice.
It's pretty busy a lot of the time due to the location. And that's why I go...it's very close to my work, so if I have to make my break quick, I go there. (And, notably, their service is not noticeably slower than the average McD's. Nor have I experienced above-average order screw-ups. It's something!)
I feel like the right solution is to just shut this store down and the owner makes a ton of money selling the property. That would be a win for everyone given how miserable everyone seems to be due to this place.
The only fast food place more depressing than this is the Burger King...
Read moreThis McDonald's is not 24 hours. They close from 4:00 a.m. till 5:00 a.m. and they reopen with breakfast. It is one of many deceptive lies at this location.
I'm not sure if it's low staffing or bad management but the picture I posted is the line at this McDonald's around 2:00 in the morning every morning. It seems to be a created situation because they seem to serve the cars one at a time. Which is extremely ineffective. You usually have to wait between 5 and 10 minutes per car. And they don't take your order at the box until they're ready for you to pull up. And one particularly terrible service evening I had a confirmed order for a delivery app for the store and they informed me they were not doing delivery app orders. I advised I had a confirmed order from the store and was told once again with less patience that they were not doing delivery app orders. So as I sit here in their eternally long line, I thought what better use of this time than to tell all of you how terrible the late night service is at this McDonald's and why it takes so long to get your food at night, especially if you use a delivery app. In the time it's taken me to write and edit this I have moved one spot. I also got more irritated while writing this, even though usually writing stuff down makes you feel better. So I'm dropping their review to one star. Because All the service restaurants have is its customer service really. McDonald's will taste the same at any McDonald's, or it should anyway. So what could differentiate them is how they treat the customer. They obviously don't care.
Update: I went one or two more times late at night for delivery orders and now just don't even accept them if they're from that McDonald's. I'd rather not be the one that has to inform a customer and disappoint them that something they've already paid for and the company agreed to provide, was...
