TERRIFIC THALI

New family-owned Punjabi spot in NE near the Rose Quarter and Lloyd Center. This town does not have enough good Indian cuisine and this is a nice addition.

I came on my lunch break and ordered the non-vegetarian thali for $15. The homemade naan was FANTASTIC, FRESH, & FLUFFY. I also really liked the daal dish. The chicken curry was pretty good, but I didn’t care for the goat or lamb curry. It wasn’t baaaaaaad, but I wouldn’t order it again and will try the vegetarian thali option next time.

Service was awkward and slow. It took 28 minutes to receive the lunch thali and it was just me plus another customer there.

Tables were all dirty and I had to ask for one to be cleaned off so I can dine on a semi-sanitary surface. This was shortly after opening, so they should definitely tighten up their closing protocol or risk being labeled a “dirty...

This place is amazing. I love the service actually, it's quiet and calm and they aren't all up in your business. As they are constantly working back in the kitchen, you just need to have patience. Our first time there, the waiter gave us different lassi to try when we just ordered one of each flavor, he had us try the salty version as well, mango, it was my favorite! Very kind of the waiter and made it a great experience. He took great care of us. We have been here about 4/5 times since and it never disappoints. I love the Saagwala with Goat or Lamb. My friend always gets the Aloo Gobi and loves it too. Today I tried the Rajasthani, Medium spice with lamb. It was awesome. My new favorite. We also tried the Chicken Manchurian and wow.... The food is ok, though it was better the first time we ordered. Twice we’ve ordered take out, and twice they’ve left a dish out of the order. Tonight we called once we got home and realized it, with a simple request that they refund the one missing item, not the whole order. They asked us to call back in 5 minutes. We called back and we were again asked to call back in 5 minutes, and after insisting we were told they would call us in 5 mins. 30 mins later they had not called back so we called them, and first they told us they can’t refund a food item and then said they would call us back in 5 mins.
