A friend of mine and i were in Prescott for the day last week and stopped for lunch at Rosa's. She had some multiple meat topped pizza and i ordered the margarita pizza. The menu description was home made mozzarella balls or chunks.. chunky fresh tomatoes n sauce and basil. I odered it with black olives. I mentioned to the waiter how nice they made homemade mozzarella and he said they dont and i asked why it said so on the menu and he said somebody, somewhere made it. I received my pizza and it had store bought grated cheese on it, plenty of chifinade cut basil about 6 olive slices and 5 small dabs of small cut tomato pieces. I told waiter they forgot the sause and he said it was under the cheese. The cheese was spread so thin i thought i would have seen a red sauce under it but he assured me it was there and he went away. I took a bite and zero sauce. It was also dry as a cracker. I got the waiter to come back and told him it had no sauce on it. He went to the kitchen and said the cook forgot to put it on. He offered to have the cook redo the pizza but we had a long drive ahead of us and didn't want to wait so I asked him for a side of sauce and i would put it on myself. After about 8 minutes with my pizza getting cold i asked another waiter if he could get me some sauce and he told the waiter who eventually brought me the sauce. Not the description of the chunky fresh margarita sauce but a canned pizza sauce/ spaghetti sauce. Oddly enough it tasted like spaghetti sauce but my friends pizza had a more pizza type sauce. By the time my sauce came the pizza was cold, so it was cold pizza dipped in cold spaghetti sauce. Not appetizing at all. My friend had workers at her place so she said she would buy both pizzas and take the workers the leftovers so i was happy about that and she had the waiter make a make shift cooler with ice on top and below the pizza boxes to transport the pizza home on the long drive in the heat. The waiter at first suggested she could buy ice just down the road but he was reminded that he should make her a cooler in lieu of the fact we didn't have the pizza remade in the first place so he was understanding of that and made her a very nice to go pizza cooler. He even carried it out to the car. I felt bad for the staff because no matter how good of service they provide if the cook doesnt care about the quality of the food its a reflection of all the workers in most people's minds and they dont get tipped on their own merit. Fortunately we know that the cook and the waiter are separate and tipped the nice waiter for his part of the experience, the good parts. I will never eat there again , i know mistakes happen and if the sauce was accidentally left off thats one thing but no sauce and bad food is a bridge to far to return when their are so many awesome places in Prescott to eat. Prices were a bit less than average for what ive experienced in Arizona for the same type of pizza and size. Free wouldnt have made it eatable and no discount was offered...
Read moreWOW. WOW. WOW. Yep, this is how this starts off. Loved the look and feel as we walked into the place right off the bat not to mention the amazing smells waffling from the kitchen...If there was a drooling emoji capable of being put in this review it would be in here. We were greeted by a very nice hostesses and seated quickly. The staff was great and attentive. Now if we want to talk about the fresh hand tossed Pizza, and the Cesar salad. Just ridiculously amazing, on all levels. The sauce, the in house made sausage and local pepperoni. When it comes to the salad, I will first admit that I am not that guy that looks to add a salad to any dinner, I am a meat and potatoes guy, just being honest and well if the Cesar they have here was available at everyplace I go to eat, I wouldn't even hesitate. I would then be well rounded so says my wife. LOL.... So, now we can talk about the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo MIND BLOWING. I am super picky when it comes to any sorts of pasta dishes. I can't stand when the sauces are clumpy or have so much oil just hovering on the top of the sauce and usually means to follow that the noodles are well terrible no need to explain but the Alfredo sauce and noodles tasted as if it was made right then, yes, it is that good. I plan on going there for lunch before leaving town so I will have another review to come for them.
Thank you to the staff for a pleasant experience and the amazing what felt like a home cooked meal for us. Review above is for 2/26
UPDATE: So I got back for the lunch time where I had again the Cesar and then I decided to try the half size Meatball sammie. Again, Just absolutely amazing the flavor of the meatballs was spot on and the sauce was again delish! So all in all we will be back anytime we are in Prescott without a doubt.
Again, Thank you to the staff and 100% compliments to the Chef and support staff you guys kill it. Excited for the next time to come and try another item...
Read moreWalked in to Rosas waited patiently to be seated it was extremely slow at the time we went which was around 2pm. To my surprise not one staff member acknowledged us until about 4/5 minutes after standing waiting to be seated. A server finally came up to us. I told the server thank you for acknowledging us and would he be our server. He said he wasn’t sure if he would be our server so I said to him. I would prefer it’d be you because you were the only one to acknowledge us and if it would be anyone else it’s more than likely going to affect their tip. Because if you’re not willing to acknowledge someone in your establishment then what kind of service should one expect?! The server didn’t like my response even though I believe he should’ve said no worries will take good care of you. Instead he took our menus away and said threat threats weren’t welcomed here. Again I was surprised because I was wanting him to take care of us so that was a very unexpected response from an employee. I asked the server to step out side because I didn’t appreciate him embarrassing me and my company. I just wanted to talk to him and make sure he understood what I was trying to express. Instead he said he wasn’t afraid of me. I don’t know if he was on drugs at this point or drinking on the clock because by this point. He wasn’t making that much sense. Needless to say that triggered me into well let’s stop outside to settle this. Now that he took it that far. I will not tolerate disrespect from anyone especially when I didn’t feel it was in any way deserved. I will never go to Rosas again after being treated that way which I don’t believe was necessary on behalf of the establishment anyways. One thing I have learned about Prescott is be wary about where you decide to visit in this town. Folks are very weird around here and make a lot of...
