I'll copy below my note to 110 Grill that I submitted through their feedback form - no response more than a month later. I wasn't going to post a review because I generally like 110's but since they didn't respond I'm sharing here.
(TLDR: food took forever and was very mixed in quality, service was friendly but extremely inattentive)
Dear 110 Grill Management,
I'm writing to share feedback about my recent visit to your Providence, RI location on Friday, June 21. I’m choosing to write directly (rather than post an online negative review) because I've had many great experiences at other 110 Grill locations and I value how accommodating your restaurants have consistently been, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions.
I had a 5:30 p.m. reservation before the Providence Pride Parade. The restaurant was not crowded, yet several signs suggested that things were off from the start: the restrooms were out of paper towels, the table next to us was asking for their just-delivered (but cold) food to be packed up due to delays, and the menu I was handed was sticky. While none of these alone are major issues, they set an unfortunate tone for the evening.
The service, while friendly, was noticeably inattentive. Despite waiting a very long time for our food, no one offered water or asked if we wanted additional drinks. When one of us accidentally tipped over a glass, spilling beer on the table and floor, we had to inform the staff ourselves. While the broken glass was removed, the table (which we wiped down with our own napkins) remained sticky, and the puddle on the floor was never cleaned during our entire meal. We had to request new napkins, despite the waitress removing our soaked napkins when she took the broken glass. The replacement beer came in the can, with no glass offered (we joked the restaurant no longer trusted my husband with glassware).
There were no updates on our food until we flagged down another staff member. At that point, we learned two of our three dishes were ready, but the third (mine, which involved an allergen restriction) was still being prepared. We asked for the other meals to be brought out immediately so they wouldn’t become stale or soggy.
The food itself was a mixed experience. The gnocchi was fine. However, the BBQ chicken salad was drenched in dressing to an extent that would overwhelm even the most dressing-loving diner. Unfortunately, no staff checked in to ask how things were, and based on the prior delays, we didn’t feel confident in sending anything back.
Just as I was about to cancel my own order, the hot honey chicken sandwich (gluten-free and dairy-free) finally arrived. I was informed the delay was due to concerns about potential cross-contamination - something I deeply appreciate as someone with dietary restrictions. That said, I would have appreciated a heads-up at the time. It was also clear that the sweet potato fries had been sitting while waiting for the new sandwich, as they were limp and unappetizing. The manager offered to comp my meal due to the delay and missteps, but this was not reflected on the bill until we reminded them.
In all, the experience was frustrating and disappointing instead of the tasty and worry-free meal I’d hoped for when choosing 110 Grill over other local options.
I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it’s useful as you evaluate operations at the Providence location. My experience on June 21 was clearly not in line with the high standards I’ve come to associate with 110 Grill, and I’d like to see this location reflect the same quality I’ve experienced elsewhere in your restaurants.
I’d appreciate any acknowledgment or response you’re...
Read moreMy husband and and I came in last night for a dinner. We came in with high expectations after looking at the menu. We were very quickly seated by a very nice gentleman and the night VERY quickly went down from there- or should I say slowly? The restaurant has a large capacity but it was pretty quiet. When our waitress came over we had some time to look over the menu, so we put in our cocktail and appetizer order. She sighed, and said “do you know what else you want yet?.” Taken aback we went ahead put in the rest of our order.
She came by later with our waters about 15 minutes later, we thanked her and she said, “yeah your drinks should be out at some point.” And she seemed to sprint away. We hadn’t asked about them, we just said it was ok, and she seemed off. It’s at this point on we really started to really watch the time. Our cocktails came out another 15 minutes after that (30 minutes after ordering) and then our flatbread another 10 minutes after that (40 minutes after ordering). Again, the restaurant is dead.
Our cocktails were pretty good (the blackberry mule and the passion fruit mojito) but the fig and prosciutto flat bread was strange. The prosciutto was burnt and there was WAY too much fig making the entire thing way too sweet. Our waitress never checked in to see how we were liking everything, maybe she knew it was bad and we wanted to send it back? We shrugged it off, and thought maybe our entrees would be better.
My husband ordered the Steak salad and I ordered the Kale salad. It took an additional 35 minutes for our salads to come out after our appetizer. I’m not sure if we offended her in some way, and for that we apologize or if maybe she was having a bad night? She made it clear she wanted nothing to do with us. When our salads came my husband and I were talking with one another, and she comes over to me while in the middle of taking ANOTHER tables order and asked me rather aggressively, “hey did you want something!? I saw you looking at me while I was taking their order!?” The table was directly behind me so it would have been pretty hard to do so. I was honest, and told her no, and she rolled her eyes and walked quickly away.
Later on, my husband and I were VERY ready to leave because I was beyond uncomfortable with the situation. We had to try and flag her down three times before we could get her attention. When she came she had someone else’s drinks in her hand, and told us she would get someone else. We totally understood because she was clearly helping someone else. Another very sweet waitress came over and got our check (we had watched her she was very attentive to her tables and was very kind).
We then waited another 20 minutes for be able to flag our waitress down again. When she came back to the table she looked so annoyed. We told her we were ready to pay and she yet again rolled her eyes and said, “I told her to finish this and run this for you, I’m over it.”
Listen, the food was alright, but the service needs work….. this was a very needed date night out for two parents with toddlers, but it was anything but relaxing and strangely confrontational. It was sooo bad we debated leaving mid meal and asking for a refund. So it’s safe to say when we’re in town we WILL NOT be back and we will be advising friends and family in Rhode Island to also stay away. I also work in service, and there’s no way I would tolerate that type of...
Read moreDuring my recent four-day stay at the Residence Inn while attending Flight Sim Expo 2025, I was so happy to discover that 110 Grill was conveniently attached right to the hotel. It felt like such a treat to have a quality dining spot just steps from my room, especially after long days exploring the expo.
The restaurant has a warm and modern atmosphere, with a stylish interior featuring sleek wood finishes, cozy lighting, and an inviting open kitchen concept that lets you watch the chefs in action. It is spacious yet comfortable, making it perfect for both solo dining at the bar and gathering with friends at a table.
One of the biggest highlights about 110 Grill is their dedication to accommodating dietary needs. They are known for having a completely gluten-free menu, right down to a separate fryer to avoid cross-contamination. As someone who appreciates when restaurants go the extra mile for their guests, I thought that was fantastic.
I came in around noon on Sunday, and the place was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful escape from the busy weekend crowds. The bartender was absolutely wonderful. Although she seemed to be the only person working the floor at the time, she managed everything with such grace and friendliness. She was attentive and so kind, and she mixed some amazing drinks.
I enjoyed a couple of their signature 110 Margaritas, and they were both fantastic, perfectly balanced with fresh citrus flavors and just the right amount of tequila kick. For my meal, I ordered the Apricot Shrimp Risotto along with a side Caesar salad, and it completely blew me away. The risotto was creamy and rich without being heavy or mushy, and I was delighted that there were no diced onions hiding in it, since I usually find they overpower the dish. The shrimp were large and tender, and the hint of sweetness from the apricot created a beautiful harmony of flavors. It was one of those meals that stays with you long after you have left town because it was genuinely that delicious.
Looking through the menu, I noticed that 110 Grill offers a great variety of dishes ranging from hearty steaks and burgers to creative seafood options and vibrant vegetarian plates. Their menu often features seasonal specials and locally inspired flavors, keeping things fresh and exciting. They also have an impressive cocktail list and a nice selection of wines and local craft beers, which makes it a great spot for both dinner and drinks.
Service, even during quiet times, felt warm and personal, and I appreciated how attentive the staff were to details, especially when it comes to food allergies or dietary preferences.
If you find yourself staying at the Residence Inn or anywhere nearby, or you simply want a delicious meal in a modern, comfortable setting, I highly recommend checking out 110 Grill. It was the perfect place to relax, indulge in a fantastic meal, and treat myself during my trip to Flight Sim Expo. I am already looking forward to coming back the next time...
