My fiancé and I loved this restaurant. This place had become one of our faves because the food is just amazing! However the service is more than downhill. We got there, got seated. All was great. As we ordered though, our server kept coming and taking things from our table, like just grabbing decorations from the table and taking them away. It was odd and very rude. We ordered a bottle of wine, and had to keep waving her down to get some of it. For some reason we got the side eye rather then a yes I’m sorry .. or something appropriate. It was very clear she did not want to be there. We both ordered the triple play. She came over once to ask how we were, but only because we had called her over for the second time to get a top off on our wine. Still fine. We got up to use the bathroom, Not being finished with our plates or asked if we needed a to go box or anything. When we got back she had our table completely cleared. I have never been treated this way in such a “fancy establishment”. We were traveling over the weekend, and for some reason had absolutely no service when we got to the restaurant. So we couldn’t get an Uber to take us back to our Airbnb. We asked our server if we could jump onto their wifi or use the phone. The girl told us no, that we could try walking around for service, so we stepped outside to get service and our server locked the door behind us. We were now locked out of the restaurant and stranded. I wanted to cry. She acted so entitled and rude, it was almost as if she was the daughter of the owner or someone related. She was so rude and smug with us. She did not care about us, our experience, or her job. Unfortunately, she robbed herself from getting a very good tip, and from being a good person as well. As good as the food is, the service trumped it. We will never go back. As a young couple we thrive to help others and just be good to others. It was sad to see this behavior in such a young girl. Disappointment to the max. Our server had on a pink dress on and a ponytail. (Message to our server.. please do better. We’ll be...
Read moreFive star restaurant should probably have more experienced waitstaff. Waitresses were very young and very inexperienced.
Made our reservation 3 weeks in advance and also confirmed it was for a very special 94th birthday dinner for my mother. We got there and the reservation was wrong. After ordering wine, appetizers, 4 entrees and desert we were rudely told that we needed to pay our bill and vacate the table in 10 minutes because another party was coming in. This was at 7:10. Restaurant closes at 8. I’ve traveled all over the world and never have I been told to leave a reserved table early for another group. Spoke to the manager Sarah and she said we should have been told at the time the reservation was made and confirmed. She basically let us know it was not her problem. The staff waited for us to pay before letting us know we had to leave the table. A very generous tip was left also prior to being told we had to leave.
Food was great. But being asked to leave before we were done ruined it. We probably would have stayed, had another glass of wine and closed the restaurant down.
There was another vacant table available. Being asked to leave our table was incredibly rude.
A bit of advice… ask the INCOMING guests to wait a bit, offer them a glass of wine and wait for the party already seated to finish...
Read moreI played violin at DC's for a private gig last week. A couple, on their anniversary, made arrangements with the restaurant and paid me themselves.
The next day, DC (the owner) called me and asked me to play violin during dinner hours on Thursdays and Fridays. He wanted me to play for three hours and said he would even throw in some food for me. I told him I could do two hours on such short notice. He then asked for my rate and booked me for a two hour set.
When I showed up, though, DC and the staff acted like they didn't know who I was or why I was there even though it had only been a week since I had played my violin at their restaurant and even though DC himself asked me to come. They acted like they didn't want me there but then said they would let me play for an hour to "see how it goes..."
While I was there, they treated me like I was a nuisance. The hostess even gave the waitress a note to give me telling me to not play so loud even though I was already playing quietly with a mute on my violin.
I don't know if the food is good here or not, but the way they treated me, as a performing musician, was careless and...
