Let me begin by saying I eat at Burger King several times a week. So it wasn’t unusual that I decided to stop by to get some food tonight. I ordered mozzarella sticks, fries and a sprite using the BK app including prepaying for the food. When I get to the drive thru speaker the man is hard to understand and having a conversation with someone else. After identifying myself twice I pulled forward ad waited to get to the window. Once I was there it was clear he hadn’t found my order but after a minute or two he confirmed he did. Then he tells me the mozzarella sticks aren’t available, would I like something else. I don’t eat meat so my options are fairly restricted. I said I’ll take an Impossible Whopper Jr. instead. He said ooooh no, that’s a lot more money I’ll give you onion rings. I said I’ve already ordered large fries I’ll just take the money back. He said he couldn’t give me a refund, I had to request it in the app. Well I know that is false because another time I ordered breakfast (at another location) and the place was closed, but I had paid for my food. So I sent them a message in the app, but I hadn’t heard anything. I go to BK and theres a $5 bonus reward. It reminds me I’ve been waiting for a refund. I check my email and they did reply. They were so sorry for the trouble so here’s $5. I replied and told them $5 credit on their app didn’t even cover the $12 I paid for no food. They replied back and stated that was the most they could do. I had to file a claim with American Express to get my $$ back. However this time is different. When I said I either want my food or the money, the “manager” asked if I would like the receipt. When I said what for, he just closed and locked the window.I’ve had plenty of questionable visits to this specific BK but this is the first time I’ve ever left without money or food. Read moreIt took me almost 20 minutes in the drive through line.When I got to the window the whole crew was laughing and joking above something and not working I waited almost another 10 minutes and the person running the service window is sweeping the floor and the manager Bradley is doing nothing. after all the time waiting, I had finally reached my exasperation and honk the horn. Bradley made some suggestion towards the window that I just needed to wait. It was another few minutes and I use few and almost to describe the time because I don’t wanna lie about how long it took, but all the time was way beyond it should ever take, a regular customer of this restaurant everyone there knows my name except for this crew. My name is Norman Schulz and you can check my previous purchases. By my name, I have an account with you and you could ask the other employees who worked there about me. I am very nice cordial and always right good evaluations of this restaurant. This was just too much finally when Bradley bought me. my food I ask if he was the manager and he said yes my name is Bradley and just don’t come back here anymore. I’ve been a manager for three fortune 500 companies UPS store manager for Winn-Dixie grocery stores and manager for bed Bath beyond over my 40 years of employment one of my employees ever said this to a complaining customer they would be fired immediately. As I pull up to to the drive-thru window, no hello, or basic customer service greeting. Thats not what bothered me. What was troubling was how long he held on to my ATM card while giving me dirty looks. He hands my food minutes later but still holding on to my ATM card. Another minute goes by and he finally gives my my card back without saying a word. Just gives me a dirty look and closes the window and proceeds to walk away.
I went inside to politely ask for a receipt since one was not given to me, or offered to me while at the drive-thru window. I see the person who took my order who had the back door open and was conversing with another employee. If management at this location is reading this, you should check the cameras where at about 7:15pm he walks up to tue counter with his arms out like he’s carrying a large invisible box while walking towards me making faces at me…. Another one of this locations employees witnessed the whole thing. He doesn’t say a word to me (zero customer service skills) so I ask for a copy of my receipt.
I was frozen due to thinking he was going to attack me for wanting a copy of my receipt. I cant imagine why this person would want to treat me in such a rude and threatening way.
Even worse was there was zero ice in my Iced Tea that I ordered with my meal. Whoever made the sandwich did a good job. I hope whoever is charge of this place does...
