Tried this place for the first time yesterday. Overall it was a good restaurant but I would want to try this one more time before I would commit to a great place and would go back repeatedly. Menu and Price: Limited menu which is a pro/con for some people. All pies are made by French Bakery Belle Epicurean and heated on site by the staff. A couple of people in our party made a comment about the price for the size of the pies but I'm actually okay with it as other restaurants (i.e. Three Lions Pub) have similar pricing but smaller portion. Its what I would consider the "right" size for most people but everyone has an expectation of larger portions. Food: We went as a 6 person party and ordered the below items - - (1) Trailhead Wheel: See photo as the menu doesnt describe the item well. - (4) Burgundy Beef Pot Pie: Decent flavor but not super memorable. I was a little disappointed the beef was ground beef vs. large chunks that was braised down. Crust was on point though - buttery, flakey, and crisp. - (1) Belle's Shells Pot Pie: Decent flavor, disappointed it was just a disc of crust placed on top of the mac and cheese. - (1) Ratatouille Chevre Pot Pie: okay rating - (1) Chocolate Stout Mousse: Good but doesnt have hints of espresso. It was more like dark and milk chocolate mixed together. - (1) Key Lime Pie: One of the better key lime pies but not the best. It had good flavor, not overly sweet but the chantilly cream didnt really do anything for it. Service: We had amazing service, though it may have been because we were the only customers there on a Monday night. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and checked with out group. Interior: well lite, open, spacious with plenty of seating, very clean. Had 4-5 TV on different sport channel so great location if you want to hang out to watch a game.

We arrived around 5pm on a Friday night. Wasn't busy at all and I asked the server why it was so quiet. We were told that it'll start picking up later and by 5:30pm there was quite the crowd and the noise level was approaching bar/tavern levels. Not annoying, but since this place is kid friendly, if you want a family outing, go early. Otherwise, any kids with sensory sensitivity are going to be uncomfortable or you'll just not be able to have casual conversation. If you're out with your friends after work, then this place is perfect for you and your crew. They have their own beers but also have beers from other local. We got a flight of 6 beers and really liked about half of them and the other half were just okay. Definitely worth trying a flight to see what suits your tastes before ordering a pint. The loaded tots are fantastic. Great presentation. With the bacon and green onion, it combines to make a great flavor. I highly recommend this app before jumping into an entree. The shepherds pie is a standard shepherds pie on a crust. Not bad, but don't expect anything unique. The burgandy beef pie is good but a little bland for the filling. My suggestion would be to add Worcestershire sauce and garlic to the filling to bring out the flavor. The crust was good and had a buttery flavoring in it. Outdoor patio is nice but small. If you want to bring Fido, then you're welcome to but out on the patio. Kid/Family friendly but I recommend going before 5pm or the noise levels get a little high. ADA friendly as there is plenty of space between tables for those with a walker or in wheelchairs. Overall, we love this place and will definitely go back. The service is extremely friendly and that alone is a great selling point for me.

Pint&Pie located in the Tacoma Stadium District is a casual and comfortable brew house experience with an open and airy interior easily accommodating current social distancing along with an even larger outdoor experience where one can easily enjoy warm summer days and evenings. As a brew pub format there are at least 14+ (on tap) local handcrafted beer/ales on offer in addition to a variety of artisan ciders and other beverages available to suit ones tastes. Other additions in the taste department include a light fare of pie centric items both sweet and savoury to satisfy ones appetite. The savoury pies (which are not housemade.. but excellent!) come either topped or surrounded in a rich buttery flakey pastry and filled with top shelf ingredients. The supurbly blended flavours are remenicent of having a country French influence, but all work well in being paired with the light to hearty ales being offered rather than a glass of wine. Each individual pot pie (selection includes Chicken, Turkey, Beef bourgogne, Vegetable and Mac and Cheese on my visit) arrives with a side of fresh arugula greens with cucumber, beets, feta cheese crumbles and a light tasty balsamic vinegret. Be warned though, the individual pot pie size (for price) is somewhat smaller than may be expected, which in addition to the pleasing taste and textures will leave you wanting more. As mentioned above, Pint&Pie also provides a limited dessert pie selection (sourced from an exceptional local bakery), but for me a bit too sweet and caloric after a few pints but the Lemon Meringue was tempting.

This place has come a long way, but still hasn’t found its true identity yet.

I’ve lived in Redmond for a while now and have always said this place needs another proper bar or two. One day, I was pleased to see another bar opening in downtown Redmond. The place was called Pint and Pie. I checked it out and had many criticisms. Apparently other people did too because the place was always empty.

After a while however, the place rebranded themselves as Northwest Brewing and corrected many of its shortcomings. I stop in every once in a while and it definitely seems to be going in a better direction, but there is still something keeping me and others from going more often.

The food and atmosphere just doesn’t have the right hook to make me want to go there to hang out and get some food or drinks with friends over other places in town.

First of all, most of the ridged and upright chairs and tables are laid out in a grid in the open under bright lighting. This is good if everyone coming in is playing trivia or engaging in some other activity that requires them all to be at attention, but not so much if they want to have a more private and intimate get together.

The couches in the corner by the window sort of fill this role, but if there were booth seating all along the wall with the mountain printed on it, that would help a lot. Anywhere that has booths, people always go for the booths first, myself included.

Second, the menu could use some more classic bar food items. I think it’s great that they started doing pizza and they have nachos now, but if they had some other typical cheap and simple bar stuff like wings, fish and chips, burgers and sandwiches, that would bring more people in, myself included. If I’m not mistaken, there are no french fries anywhere on the menu. Blasphemy!

Third, atmosphere. When this place first opened up as Pint and Pie, it was literally just tables, chairs and an admittedly cool print of Mt. Rainer covering one wall, but this wasn’t enough to give the place a hook or recognisable identity as a bar. The place has come a long way since then especially with the rebrand as Northwest Brewing, but it still feels a little sterile.

Since they seem to be leaning slightly into a Pacific Northwest theme, which is cool, I think it would help if they leaned way more into that. The mountain print on the wall is good, but not enough.

I’m just spit balling here, but you could get as wild, cheesy or silly with this as you want. You could have giant lumberjack and Sasquatch statues out front or inside, Twin Peaks or Nirvana memorabilia, iconic Pacific Northwest landscapes and landmarks on the walls. I dunno… Anything to make it more fun, attention grabbing and… Well… Northwest.

So that’s what would get me and my friends in here more. Some booth seats, more classic bar food (french fries!) and more Pacific Northwest decor, if that’s what they’re going for, but more decor of some kind.

I’d also like to add that the staff are always nice and the service is always great and the older gentleman who seems to be the owner is very hands on and clearly believes in the place which is nice to see. Redmond needs another great bar and with some adjustments I think this...

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Employee drinks on job!

So me and my friends have been coming here for a while now. They have great food, great beer, and the place itself is stellar…. But let me tell you about one of the only male servers there that has long hair and almost always wears a beanie. (Btw he has openly made mixed drinks in front of me and drinks on the job all the time!)

I’ve personally never had a problem with him till now but the guys deserves this awful review and I hope management sees this!

Every time I come in the brewery he will wait and take his time with GETTING to serve people so that they leave the establishment so he doesn’t have to work, blatantly messes up orders, and is rude to people on numerous occasions. But here’s where things really ticked me off!

Friday the 12th, I called at 8:52 pm asking if the place is open till 11 as usual. He picks up and tells me the are closing in 8 minutes. I think to myself saying huh that’s weird but ok… I decide to drive to palmers across the street and as I get there at 9:48 pm I was absolutely livid! The premise was open with many people walking in and out and I could see him working inside. Just to catch him in the act I call again and ask if they are open till 11 and this time he tells me they are closing at 10! HOW MANY TIMES YOU GONNA LIE DUDE😂

Following all this I just want to say that the establishment itself is great place, but again emphasize that if you have an employee like him who drinks on the job, doesn’t care about working, and directly lies to customers about your hours of service should not be working at all.

Really hope management sees this cause not only is it bad for spreading good word of mouth about the place, he’s loosing you money. That’s all I gotta say thanks...
