Update 4/27/23 Still delicious poke!

Update 7/2/2020 The manager Danny reached out to me, validated my experience and acknowledged portion sizes was something they are working on standardizing. I gave it a second try, and I've got to say the experience was much MUCH better. Everyone was polite, and service was prompt and executed equitably. It's what I'm hoping to experience every time I go.

6/2020: Portion size way down, and I'm not the only one who noticed. Customers asking for a "second scoop" literally translates to "you gave me a tablespoon from your 1/3 cup so please add more". If I can count my edamame with one hand, it isn't enough.

It gets worse.

They also treat customers differently. There's a bigger girl with glasses who not only never looks happy but is generally rude. We went in recently (missed the 3 person rule due to Covid19) and she went "YOU NEED TO STAND OUTSIDE WE HAVE A 3 PERSON RULE". She was loud enough that the whole room went quiet and stared at her. Tell me why, 5 minutes later we're inside and 3 customers follow us in and don't get yelled at. I won't say it's about race, but I was the only black person being served. I feel treated differently from others whenever I go, especially with portions and that encounter really put the spotlight on it.

Management, what's going on? Do you see how your staff treat people? Do you see how poorly they use their scoopers? I'm generally disappointed. My husband and I decided before we find somewhere else, we'll...

I suppose this review is really about management making absurd policies that negatively impact their customer’s experience. Poke bowl offerings allow you to customize the ingredients. They offered one that was shrimp tempura with toasted crab and I really wanted that particular combo of proteins, prepared that way. Unfortunately you could couldn’t add things to that bowl without a one dollar charge for each side. The server tried to help by offering the proteins without toasting the crab under a different combo. Apparently, they weren’t allowed to toast the crab, except for this special combo. 🤷‍♀️ So I got a scoop of sliced cucumber, fine. I asked for roasted corn and got a teaspoon; I asked: “Really? That tiny bit for a dollar and each little bit of other ingredients will be another dollar?” Yes. They wouldn’t allow me to get that combination of proteins any other way. I wanted little bits of four more toppings and just couldn’t do it; adding $6 to the price of the bowl for that was outrageous. Also, the only free condiment they offered was soy sauce. Really? I know describing it here doesn’t sound stressful and absurd, but it truly was. This absurd rule basically ruined the meal because I kept noticing the different flavors I was missing while my friend was enjoying exactly what she wanted. Such a cheapened experience that could’ve been perfectly lovely. I won’t go back and...

The most unprofessional establishment on the Landing. Their food is pretty good, but the food does not justify the disrespect their crew members gave me. I, an American citizen, deserve the right to be treated with respect. Clearly, both Jade and Athena (crew members of this restaurant) do not understand the basic rights of respect. When I walked into the restaurant, I was not greeted at all. I was watching them talk to each other and Jade rudely stopped to grab a bowl to make my order. She made it seem like it was the hardest task in the world to make a customers order. It took 2 minutes to get my order started when there was NO ONE in the restaurant. The girl Jade was the one who was serving me, the whole time I thought that she shouldn’t have had an attitude with me if she was going to look like her lashes were going to fly out of her face and join the pigeons outside. When she was making my order, she had an attitude that I felt was unnecessary and could not even look at me when making my order. Not only that, but when I went to check out she threw my food on the counter and did not say “have a nice day”, “goodbye”, or anything. It was a very awkward and rude situation that I encountered here that makes me want to take my money else where. I really should’ve gone to wing stop, they wings are the best and their customer service...

I came here during lunch hour so there were quite a few people ahead of me and it did take some time, about 20 min of waiting. Which I can understand but the biggest problem was I ordered a Signature Rainbow Roll bowl and added a side of Mac salad. The guy taking my order forgot my cucumbers so I had to ask another employee to give it to me and he kindly did. I came home only to realize they also forgot the crab salad and tempura crunchies. Instead I got the red seaweed and tumeric daikon?? I don’t understand because they literally have a sheet to follow while making the Poke bowl. I understand it might be hectic and busy as I have worked in food service before. But the lack of service quality was enough to turn me away. This was my first time at this JustPoke location and unfortunately it is my last.

I visited this restaurant twice within 5 days. My son and me had the poke bowls for lunch. With the price we paid, it cost about the same as having a bowl of Pho noodle per person. Nutritionally, we prefer the many variety, and fresh taste. Customers may choose from a variety of fish or plant protein. There are choices of beans, mango, pineapple, seaweeds, tuna, salmon, edamame, cucumber, corn, crab salad, various spices, dressings, toppings. My poke bowl was full of colorful ingredients and a mixture of taste. The staff was courteous and efficient. The interior is airy with very clean line and simply design. We like visiting this location at the Renton Landing shopping center. There are many stores to visit nearby. We will definitely eat there again.

I enjoy coming to this location! At times, it can be busy yet has a pretty laidback vibe. The staff is kind and helpful, the food and toppings are a good variety. I find the portion sizes to be decent and fulfilling to what I was hoping for! I definitely get my cravings for poke and appreciate the ways you can mix what you like in 'make your own bowl' portion or as an add-on to their signature bowl selections. I ended up choosing the Pike Place bowl with an add-on of kimchi and "seaweed". They also have a reward system with your phone number that collects points every time you come in. Some of the beginning rewards include a "free scoop of protein" or "a free snack"!
