We went to the landing location this evening 8/24/18, to celebrate my husbands 54th birthday, with 6 other family members, our grown children along with my 91 year old mother and his mother and brother. We arrived at 4:30 and were seated in the restaurant, Anthony was our server and he was wonderful a good server! The restaurant at the time was about 1/2 full. We ordered our dinner at 4:50 and his mother and brother ordered chips and salsa only as they couldn't stay long. At 5:30 they still didn't have their chips and salsa. My husband stepped away and asked the manager what the problem was, he said he would look into it. They cancelled their order as they had to leave. At 5:50 we noticed 5 different groups had come in and were eating their food. Still we had no food, I went and looked for the manager, he told me he was the manager his name is Lamont Jackson, he said he was still looking into it. What kind of manager does Red Robin have representing them! He obviously has no management skills or needs to be retrained. Not once did he come over to our table, at 6pm we walked out. My daughter went back and also spoke with him, and she felt he obviously could care less. We have lived in the Renton area our whole lives and have never been treated like this by a manager. Again, Red Robin really needs to look at who they have managing, he could have stopped the cook food line and made sure that our food came quickly, he did nothing. My 91 year old mother could not believe it, she has never been to Red Robin and never wants to return. We will go to Southcenter or Kent from now on, and will never step foot in the Renton Landing again, and we will also let all our friends and co-workers know what kind of management they have and advise them never to return. My daughter that was with us also had words with him after we left and he could have cared less if we stayed. She teaches in Renton and often goes there with co-workers, they will not go there in the future, they will go to the other establishments in the area. We wound up eating at pot belly pigs as i needed to feed my mother before i returned her home. Again Red Robin, you need to go access this manager Lamont Jackson, Anthony or server was wonderful and even followed us out the door apologizing, but it wasn't his fault, it is poor management. A Good manager would have taken care of the situation right away, shame on Red Robin owners! If you check with your staff they too would tell you he handled this...
Read more4/17/2021. 2GO lady was rude and wasted our time.
I made a 2 go order and the time it said it will be ready at 8:41pm. So it being 8:43pm We called the curbside pick up. A lady picked up and immediately said “can you hold thank you” then we waited 5 mins. So after waiting we decided to go inside. The 2go lady she was having a long conversation with a 2 guys while the line started to pile up. Then those guys left she notices the line and gets back to work. There was One person ahead of me. She helped him. She clearly saw my gf and I but she went ahead helped 2 other people that came in after us. Don’t know why when we were standing there for another 5 more mins. The 2go lady did not bother to ask us if we needed anything. Only when I said “hi can I just pick up my order I already paid and I see it on the table” after she helped everyone that came in after me. she interrupts me mid conversation saying she is managing the 2Go and taking people to their seats.” (With some attitude) Then I said “I waited in curbside pick up for 5 mins, I just wanted to get my food and go” then she walks away. I believe it was the manager. She asked a family that came in after me if they were next. The man said no he pointed at my girlfriend and I and said they were. I told the manager that we had a 2go order and it’s already paid for. We just wanted to get our food because by now our food will be cold. She actually helped us and got us on our way. Honestly I’ve been to this Red Robbins a lot. This time I just did not feel satisfied with this kind of service. I also gave them a $5 tip, but after this experience I regret giving a tip at all. I get it that it’s busy. But if you can clearly see that we were up next, help us. Don’t just push us to the side because its not fair that we have to wait even longer when we had a 2go order ready for us at this specific time. Grand total wait time 25 mins inside the Renton Red Robbins. Thanks to the manager (blonde kind lady). By the way the 2Go lady was like a 5’4 black hair caucasian. I don’t like her attitude and won’t be coming to this red robbins. The one in Tukwila has much...
Read moreYou're better off going across the street to Trenchers for burgers at the same prices. I always thought burgers at Trenchers were overpriced until my latest visit to Red Robin showed me that Trenchers burgers are actually comparable to prices at Red Robin. My one star review is based on the last two visits to Red Robin. Let's start with the Happy Hour menu, which features three good items and a couple drinks items. The nachos here are the plainest and most boring tasting and looking nachos chips I've ever had. The artichoke dip was ok, except they give you the same tortilla chips for dipping. I think it's the boring tortilla chips that make both dishes taste bad. You know how when you go to Mexican restaurant and they give you free tortilla chips that are so good you can't stop eating? Red Robin tortilla chips have the opposite effect. Then there's the $5 for 10 pieces of boneless breaded chicken or bone-in chicken. This is actually a good deal, but the chicken is neither crispy nor special in anyway. So even though this is a good deal, it just doesn't taste good enough to warrant my recommendation or my coming back for it. My next visit was for dinner after a movie at 9pm. We ordered two burgers. The restaurant was not busy yet it took the kitchen 45 minutes to give me one burger and tell me the ticket for the other one was lost so they'd need more time to make it. Mean while, the burger they brought out for me looked as if it had been waiting for me for 30 minutes. You know how a burger bun looks when it's been sitting out? Its skin wrinkles from the moisture, the meat inside did not taste warm. On top of that, it was well done instead of medium rare. So we sent it back for a new one and asked that it and the other burger packed to go. Our server/bartender was understanding enough to offer to comp our entire meal. We appreciated her effort and tipped her $20. Overall, this wasn't or first time experiencing the slow kitchen service from this place, but mainly, Red Robin food just...
