Don't know if they were having an off night or something as I am not from this area and was traveling though however this was my experience: nobody else waiting to order or pick up food and I waited several minutes for anyone to come up to take my order. Placing the order was fine. Order delivered to my table minus one sandwich so I went to the counter (took a while for anyone to see me, either they hide or it's a very bad set up, I've never seen a layout like this one before), she was a little apologetic and right away found my husband's missing sandwich just waiting there. Great. Go back to the table open mine up and it's supposed to be a double mushroom and onion burger but it's a single. So I take it up with my receipt to prove what I ordered and she's a little rude this time, acting like I'm lying at first. She takes it from me and places it back into the cooking area and tells for someone that this is supposed to he a double. Now I've worked in food service and know that you're never supposed to take food back from a customer to alter it and give it back. You either take it and throw it away or you let them keep it and make a new one. Tsk, tsk. So I get the altered original burger back (too heavy on the seasoning to be honest. I've had this burger 2 other times and it's normally extremely delicious). Then before leaving I decide to place a mobile order for 2 coffees to go with a digital coupon which made one coffee free. I realized I had forgotten to specify my creamer and sugar preferences on the mobile order so I was hanging around at the counter trying to find someone to flag down or who looked like they were making my coffees. Same woman was there making the drinks and I try to tell her the situation and she tries to wave me off saying she's making them and I have to reiterate that I wanted cream and sugar blah blah blah. So she makes that one first and hands it to me and goes back to make the latte (the free drink) and I noticed when she handed it to me that it seemed Extremely light, so I removed the lid and found a substantial gap above the foam so I again got her attention and just asked if she could top it off with regular coffee so it's full. I didn't accuse her of anything bit she acted as if I did and started in with "It just comes out of the machine like that." Ok....well I just want a full cup. Thanks. Sheesh. It was just not was a road weary traveling family would want to experience. Thankfully all the hassles were limited to my own experience and the rest of my family had no idea all this stuff was going on.
I have to wonder if this is typical since they are trying to bribe their customers to give them good survey reviews though, which I would bet corporate would not...
Read moreBe very careful using the McDonald’s app at the drive thru. The employee added food to my $1.08 drink order without my knowledge. I don’t usually ask for a receipt and when I did the kid stumbled his words and was like, ”Uh, your total is $16.89.” I said how? All I ordered was a drink. He said, “Well, your card is charged already.” I then showed him the my phone with the app and my $1.08 total. I asked him to reverse the other items he put on my order and he said, “I can’t.” I then asked for a manager. Some young girl comes to the window and I explained that I didn’t order more than a drink. I then showed her my phone and the real total from the app. She gave me a phone number to call to get my money back. I asked her name and store number and she said, “Actually, you can have the store number but I’m not required to give you my name.” Wait, what?!? How can I prove that I’m driving away with no food or drink, yet you can charge my card from the app and not be able to refund it?!? Fast forward 9 days, the franchise owner cannot be reached! The girl answering his phone is not helping at all! I’ve called several times and he’s not returning my calls! It’s not that I’m out $16, it’s the point that the app can be manipulated by employees to be able to add items unbeknownst to the customer! The kid was going to send me to the next window to get my drink if I hadn’t asked for a receipt! I think they are overcharging when the customer uses the app because it’s an instant charge to the card hoping the customer doesn’t ask for a receipt. I feel that they are stealing cash and replacing it with extra charges to customers cards that are attached to the app!!! I have used the app for over a year now with no problems until now. Has anyone been ripped off by the Riverdale location? I’m getting nowhere with them! Store #19335 at 909 W. Riverdale Rd., Ogden, UT. BEWARE of this location! They are running a racket all the way back to the...
Read moreHorrible customer service, my husband and I ordered our food in the drive threw. When we got home we realized that we were missing the two 10 piece nuggets that came in the bundle and just received the sandwiches and fries. My husband drove all the way back to get the nuggets and the lady who was helping him was extremely rude and basically accused my husband of trying to get free food. I suppose our bad for not checking before leaving but seriously the nuggets were half the order and she was so insistent she remembered making the order and sending it out but completely forgot that she didn’t put in the nuggets. Usually this McDonald’s always forgets something and we let it go because it’s not worth the hassle but this time it was half the order and by the time it was said and done the rest of our food was cold. I get that it’s just McDonald’s and that’s why we weren’t seriously upset or shocked that the order wasn’t right but then to accuse him of lying and trying to gain free food after we paid and were inconvenienced by having to go back and then have a cold dinner is beyond inexcusable horrible customer service. We stop at this location because it’s closest to us but if we decide on McDonald’s again we will go to a...
