We chose this spot due to its proximity to the California Museum. The space feels like a cafeteria, as it's essentially the entrance/lobby to a state office building. The design of the space is nice and comfortable. We enjoyed looking outside at the sculptures and neighborhood through the large windows as we waited for our food. That was the best part of our experience. They don't have menus available, just a few taped to walls/counter, so it was difficult to figure out what to order. The service was odd, three people standing behind the counter but not a lot of help or service happening - I had to go back and ask for the drink I ordered and carried my own food from the counter - no trays to help with that. The food was okay. Not bad, but I expected something more freshly prepared given the amount of time we waited. It seemed like pre-cooked ingredients assembled while we waited.
