Oooommmmmmggggggggggggg. I'm in love. My phone died before I could take pix of the bomb pizza I just had but please believe me when I say this is one (or these are two, heh heh heh) of the best slices I've ever had. And it's pretty clear by the looks of me I enjoy pizza every now and then.
This is my new favorite pizza in Sacramento and it may even be the best. I had my places for best toppings, best sauce, and best crust, but I'm telling y'all Pizza Supreme Being has the best of all of it! Every ingredient stands out as fresh, high quality, and mouth-watering deliciousness. The crust isn't too thick or thin and has a touch of sourdough flavor, the sauce is distinctly fresh, tangy, and rich, and the CHEESE omfg...
The cheese pizza is a blend of three cheeses from what the owner explained to me: gouda, hand-pulled mozzarella, and provolone. YUM! All perfectly gooey and melty, but not so much it falls off the slice.
We tried the cheese, the square, the Hawaiian (spam and fresh pineapple, for a fun twist), and the pepperoni slice between the two of us on our recent visit in here. All that we have left to do is try that vegan pizza and those tempting cookies in the display case.
Rest easy, they also carry craft beer cans, wine, and coffee! The space for sitting is small, but charming, with a nice view of a quiet Midtown street. Smiles are free and bountiful. I love the folks that run this place so much and can't wait to come back in here and try more pizza.
Thanks Pizza Supreme Being for BEING. AWESOME. Supremely Awesome. I am sorry I am so punny and...
Read moreI had a serious pizza craving tonight. But it was one of those very specific cravings, where I wanted the kind of slice I can get in NY. Thin and chewy crust, with that perfect ratio of cheese to sauce. Knowing this was a tall order, I was hoping for something close. I saw the photos and reviews for Pizza Supreme Being and decided to take a leap of faith. I ordered a half and half--cheese and Hawaiian.
First impression when I got my order was that it was huge! I giggled because I wasn't expecting the gigantic box. My husband laughed and said "what have you done!?" The smell wafting from the box was amazing and I eagerly opened it and my jaw hit the floor because what I got was exactly what I had been craving! The crust is sourdough based and was so delicious and chewy. But thin where it needed to be and had a glorious amount of cheese and really good sauce. On the Hawaiian side I was pleased to see real jalapeños and spam(!!) with all of its salty and tasty goodness!
This pizza exceeded my expectations and it had to be some of the best pizza I've had in Sacramento.
One thing to know is order online/call early because they make a limited number of pizzas (45 I believe) a day. Means dough is fresh and nothing is wasted, so look on their IG or website to make sure you can get your pizza.
But if you're looking for the closest thing to a NY slice, I would highly recommend Pizza...
Read moreThe guy at the register wasn't anything natural at first. No, hi, how can I help you? Just kept staring at the wall. I kept smiling and asking questions about their pizza options and even asked how he was doing. I just got a grunting-looking expression like you are bugging me with all your questions. My questions consist of what type of slices are available because they do not have them in the open, and can I order square slices of a whole pizza? He didn't like that; he rolled his eyes and said they make so much dough and were out, so no. I left and told my husband you order. I had enough of someone who didn't like his job very much.
The pizza was good. We were coming from a trip and remembered this place last year delicious. It wasn't as big; the open side was the left side, where I guess you pick up orders now. But the pizza we remembered was so good, the cheese and then the crust and bread, I think is Sourdough, yummy 😋 Now, I'm not sure. Maybe it's just a lousy day for everyone; the crust wasn't cooked all the way, so we had a different flavor when we got home. I will return because I don't give up on restaurants that easily, especially when I find a great pizza place. This one is our family favorite; we like to share it...
