As an avid coffee drinker I’d say the coffee was mediocre at best. I gave it a 6/10 in terms of taste. I got a caramel latte iced with oat milk and I could taste more of the oat milk than the espresso itself. As a Starbucks barista, It was also made with the shots on top of the iced milk than the shots on the bottom like it should’ve been. I know that Starbucks as a company may slightly change the makeup of coffee beverages but lattes across the board are made with syrup - shots - milk - ice, not syrup - milk - ice - shots. If I wanted it the second way I would’ve ordered it to be made like a macchiato. My boyfriends cold brew was definitely smooth but also more watery than anything, resulting in super watery coffee very fast. I haven’t been so disappointed about coffee in a long time.
Apart from the coffee the barista behind the counter was arrogant and was full of herself. I couldn’t get out of the conversation fast enough. Her way of doing her job was more so acting like the customer didn’t know anything. Which in customer service can be true, but you can’t treat all customers like you know more than them. She made a comment about how she was a bartender so it helps as a barista but they’re two different things, different measurements, similarities in memorizing how drinks are made but it’s like comparing a lemon to a lime. I didn’t think she was very knowledgeable about coffee which isn’t good for a business. Her attitude, along with the taste of the coffee, is what will make going to Foxtail my boyfriend and I’s...
Read moreAs a barista with 4+ years of experience, it’s disappointing for me to write a negative review, because I know how it feels to be on the other side of the counter. The coffee drinks that I’ve tried from Foxtail are pretty standard, can’t really complain. They use a La Mazarcco espresso machine and the consistency of their shots are what I would expect from a bunch of early 20-something girls. As a customer, when I come in to order I feel I am looked at by the staff like I am disturbing/annoying them just by coming in to order….. it’s distasteful and in all my time as a barista I always go out of my way to make guests feel welcome and have them leave in a better mood then when they came in. the age and lack of experience of the staff shows. I am also an Uber driver! And, I will say it depends on the staff member in any case, I have had positive interactions with one woman, with blonde hair, I wish I remembered her name because she kills it! Always kind and handles high stress days with poise…. Literally every other staff member has rushed me out with glares. This is truly unacceptable. Trust me, I know delivery drivers can add stress to an already overwhelming situation, but if you can’t handle it, put an extra staff member on during busy hours! It’s that simple! In conclusion, the drinks are decent, nothing to write home about, but the staff can definitely use...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Foxtail Coffee on the morning of Saturday, June 28, looking forward to enjoying the highly recommended coffee and atmosphere. While we were pleased with the quality of the coffee itself, unfortunately, our overall experience fell short due to poor customer service.
The issue centered around a young blonde barista who, from the moment we approached the counter, came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. When our order was prepared incorrectly, we politely attempted to clarify the mistake, only to be met with an attitude that suggested we were inconveniencing her by asking for it to be corrected. Rather than acknowledging the error, she responded as if we were in the wrong—an approach that felt both unprofessional and disrespectful.
To make matters worse, as we were leaving, we witnessed another patron facing a similar issue with the same barista, reinforcing that this may not have been an isolated incident.
While we truly enjoyed the coffee, customer service is a major factor in our decision to return to or recommend an establishment. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we left feeling disappointed and...
