⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Joey Brooklyn’s Famous Pizza Kitchen
Joey Brooklyn’s is hands-down one of the BEST pizza spots in downtown St. Pete! 🍕🔥 I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s easy to see why they’ve been going strong for 23+ years. 💪 They’re right in the heart of the action at Jannus Live (formerly known as Jannus Landing) 🎶 — the name change alone shows how the area evolved into a lively downtown concert scene. With their prime spot next to one of the busiest event venues, they pull in crowds from concerts, bars like Goodnight John Boy 🍸, other local bars 🍻, nearby hotels 🏨, and all kinds of downtown events.
What really sets them apart is the quality — their food is always made fresh. 🍕❤️ Never a soggy slice, never pizza sitting under heat lamps, and no trays of pre-cooked food sitting around. 🍕❌🔥 Every slice tastes like it just came out of the oven, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. You can grab an affordable meal (like a huge slice with two toppings + a soda for just $8!) that beats the prices and quality you’d find at most other places. 💸✅
They offer way more than just slices — there’s a full menu with whole pies 🍕, chicken wings 🍗, sandwiches 🥪, and other tasty items, plus beer 🍺, wine coolers 🍾, and a variety of sodas 🥤. Whether you’re stopping in late after the bars 🍹, ordering delivery 🚗 (including Uber Eats), dining in, or grabbing takeout 🥡, they’ve got something for everyone.
And here’s something you don’t hear every day — they stay open even during hurricanes, keeping the doors open to serve the community until they run out of inventory. 🌪️💥 That’s real dedication, and it’s one of the many reasons they’ve earned such a loyal following.
They’ve also made awesome upgrades over the years — fresh brick on the exterior 🧱, a sleek digital menu board 💻, and an updated online menu, all while keeping their authentic, welcoming vibe. They always take care of their regulars, making sure everyone feels welcome and appreciated. 🤗👏
The staff is fantastic (special shout-out to Billy! 🙌), and many have been there for years — which says a LOT about how well they treat both their team and their customers. 💯🏆
Honestly, Joey Brooklyn’s is a true St. Pete classic — not just a pizza shop, but a staple of the downtown experience. 🍕🎉 Whether it’s a packed weekend, a concert night, a stormy day, or just a regular afternoon, they’re always buzzing with energy, serving incredible food, and making sure you leave happy. If you’re in town and want a slice (or a whole pie!) that hits the spot, this is THE place...
Read moreYo, Joey! Gimme a slice of that pepperoni, will ya? Every freakin' time I swing by this joint, it's like I'm auditioning for a bad New York movie role, you know what I'm sayin'? And what's the deal with only havin' a handful of tables outside, huh? Fuggetaboutit! I'm not even sure if genuine New Yorkers say that, but when we're talkin' about authenticity, we're talkin' Joey Brooklyn's Famous Pizza – capisce? I'm tellin' ya, I dig this place. I've hit up the New York scene, soaked in the grub, the vibe, the whole shebang. If you're huntin' down the primo slice of New York paradise, Joey's is the freakin' pilgrimage you gotta make.
Let's cut the fluff, 'cause there ain't much to yammer about. Can't go all out on service review 'cause it's straightforward. You strut in, you call out for slices, you stroll out. The crew's snappy, crazy amiable, but laser-focused on one mission – crafting them pies. And the price? Fuhgeddaboudit. Not only is the chow outta this world (seriously, I'm talkin' otherworldly), but they ain't gougin' your wallet for a pie. This is simple grub, done exquisitely simple.
Now, the digs, it's like you stumbled into a legit New York pizza den. Squeezy, squeezy, squeezy. But they do got a few spots inside, just not an abundance. Outside's a whole different ball game with some backwoods barn-style picnic tables. I reckon there's like two or three of 'em. So, if you got your crew with ya, you're probably gettin' some alfresco action. And listen up, if you're lookin' for the New York vibes, head to those outdoor tables on a Friday or Saturday night. You'll be sweatin' bullets, convinced you're kickin' it at the corner of 1st Ave and 63rd St, wonderin' if Vinny's crew's gonna give ya a hard time.
I gotta admit, I'm head over heels for this joint, a real sweet deal in the DTSP scene. If you're itchin' for swift service, wedges of amazement, make sure you fill up here – it's a done...
Read moreOrdered a ton of food for when my parents were down from NY last week, including several pies, wings, a calzone, and desert. When I got home I noticed the calzone and half the wings were missing, so I called annoyed and asked if they could send it out. Matt, the manager, said it was busy and would take a while but that he was very sorry and could put the missing items as a replacement credit under my name and number. Seeing how my family was already finishing up eating the pizzas by then, I agreed. I called back today to try get the food I had paid for and not received a week ago. I was informed Matt was not working. After offering to give the exact time and itinerary of what I ordered, the person put me on hold saying they were calling Matt to verify. When he got back on the phone he verified my address and order and told me it would take an hour and a half to come out, but I agreed. Ten minutes later he calls me back and says he talked to Matt (guess he didn't when I was on hold and before he confirmed the order..) and that Matt did not remember my order. People with poor memory should be more efficient in notating things, and people with poor etiquette should not operate a restaurant. Guess I wont be getting the $18 worth of food I paid for and never got, nor a refund. Rumors are true about this place, and they always have an excuse for poor food, service, etc. Flippers Pizza and their staff is way better, save your money.
EDIT: the owner got in contact with me and truly made things right. the general manager was apologetic and a pleasure. things happen, and I appreciate the care the owner has. all of the food was excellent also, and I will...
