To be honest, it makes me sad to write this. Since Blaze of Thunder switched to a “do it yourself” order-taking system, the experience has felt inconvenient, impersonal, and stressful. Unfortunately, the quality of this place has gone downhill.
Prices have gone up, yet the food leaves you with a “why did I just pay $22 for this?” reaction. For that price, I got a chicken sandwich meal with a side of pickles, coleslaw, ranch, and a drink—and it simply wasn’t worth it. The “side of pickles” was just six slices, when it used to be an entire container full.
The quality and portions have also slipped. Charging $1 for a side of ranch only to provide half a dollop in a tiny container feels unreasonable. The sides aren’t what they used to be either—the coleslaw once had a fresh crunch, but now it tastes like it came straight from a Sysco bag with mayo mixed in. Even the mac & cheese has changed, and not for the better.

I asked for a refund which they said they would do, but it would take 20 mins (manager is at the downstairs) . They said they would handle it so I didn't have to wait. They let me know they get all their fries from the downstairs, so I asked if I could get fresh batch there. They said yes.
I went downstairs, and asked the lady if I ordered fries would they be fresh. She said she would make sure of it. Went to back and brought me back cold...
Read moreI’m in town for a business trip, and this spot at Gateway Shopping Mall was perfect for a relaxing meal during the week. The atmosphere is chill, and I stumbled upon Blaze of Thunder, a spicy chicken sandwich place inside the food court. The food was great! I didn’t go for the level 3 spice, but the “Real Quick” hot flavor was just the right amount of heat for me. I had the hot chicken tenders with waffles, and the combination was amazing—crispy, flavorful chicken paired with perfectly cooked waffles. The service was quick, and the whole vibe of the place made it a great spot to grab a bite. If you’re into spicy chicken and fun food, this place is worth...
