Colossal Lobster @ HallPass — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I've ordered from Colossal through Uber eats. They forgot the chowder for chowder fries.... And this time I ordered the sandwich which is completely soggy and cold and it looks like this whole sandwich had slid across the whole box and is not even able to be put back together. They forgot my chowder fries and I got the three-piece fish and an extra one piece and I ordered three tartar sauces which those should come with it anyway when you order fish? Well besides my missing chowder fries and my fish sandwich which looks like trash and who eats fish without tartar sauce? 60 something dollars for a small order and they screw it up? Only once did my order get here on time and actually was still warm. It's super cold and soggy and it's wrong and I'm irritated. Grandpa liked it the first time so we tried it again and then I tried to do it again and how hard is it to get that few items correct? I normally you would think that the bag would be tied or a sticker would be sealed it was wide open thrown at my doorstep and I'm not happy and I think that that is not okay.I normally don't complain but this is ridiculous and I'm really upset because that's a lot of money to get a cold sloppy order and it's missing half of your order I'm embarrassed to feed this to Grandpa who was looking forward...

I've eaten here several times before and enjoyed it, so this evening we decided to stop here before walking to a show at The Union. We ordered our usual (2 Connecticut rolls) and grabbed a seat at the bar. It was a relatively busy night and they looked understaffed, but after about 45 minutes with no order and no buzz on our pager, I walked over to ask whether maybe our order had gotten lost and was told that someone else must have walked off with our food. They made the rolls on the fly and we got them about 55 minutes after initially ordering. The food was good as always, but we ended up having to hoof it to catch our concert on time.

Having worked in restaurants, I wondered how our food could have been stolen. It looks like the employee who was out front was doing prep (i.e., nachos, seasoning) and running back to the kitchen occasionally, leaving food unattended outside. I think perhaps they need an additional person doing prep or handing out orders after someone hands over their pager, rather than just leaving on the counter. I would like to come here again, but I don't know if I will...

I ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll and parmesean garlic tots. Absolutely phenomenal flavors from both the main and side. I definitely recommend getting a side with a lobster roll. The lobster roll is definitely more than a morsel but probably not filling on its own. I think it is excellent for its price point, and there is an option to add more lobster if you desire. Lobster is expensive. So it's no surprise that it is an expensive meal ($25 at time of review with tip), but I love that the sides are EXTEMELY inexpensive to compliment the more expensive lobster. But they are not an afterthough, they have such intense and distinct flavors.

TL:DR. Get a lobster roll and a side. Enjoy slowly and enjoy...
