So the food wasn't so bad at Laan Na Thai. I ordered chicken fried rice and it was okay, although it didn't have much flavor. I asked for garlic but it came with none. The lady who took my order didn't understand English, hardly at all(so it first seemed). I used google translate into Thai and my order came without garlic and without cashews, both of which I asked for. I even tried to order in Thai and have ordered this many times in Thai and it usually comes out exactly as I want it. Anyway, the reason I am writing the review is because the prices on their website AND their menus are TOTALLY WRONG, the owner told me they were from 2016. The prices have gone way UP. So change your menus, and change your website!!! My family's food should have been just under 30 dollars(according to the menu and website) and it was 37.31. That is quite a bit more. I asked the owner about it, he says I don't want to pay to change the website and change the menus and then said I am an honest man and points to the prices that were changed on the wall. Reeeally? This is NOT honest! I didn't argue with him. But seriously, change your website and change your menus or you will LOSE business. This is SOOO DISHONEST.
Lastly, when my food did not come out with cashews I asked the lady for some politely and she said oh the other dish came out with them, so I know she must understand more English than she was letting on. So I said I asked for both dishes with cashews. She reaches with her bare hand into the cashew jar, grabs a small handful and drops them on my plate. Gross lady. WASH YOUR HANDS!! She wasn't even the one serving food. This was rude, gross and just not okay. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because the food was hot, and was not horrible. Would I go back, NO. Dishonesty and disrespect will get...
Read moreMy husband and I have been here probably around 20 times since first going here in March. We absolutely adore this place. The owners are very sweet and always happy. This place even smells incredible. The first time we came here, we were recommended the Drunken Noodles. My father got those, and Curry Dumplings. My husband and I got Pad Thai and Curry Dumplings. Our minds were opened to a palette of flavour we'd never experienced between the three dishes. We've since had the Yellow Chicken, the Spring Rolls, the Pad Prik Pork, the Brown Rice, and many others. I can 100% guarantee this place will leave you full to the brim, and a smile across your face. Between the two of us, we can hardly finish the Pad Thai meal. It is huge. When we buy the Pad Thai, the Curry Dumplings, and 2 sodas (melon and lychee) we spend about $23 and can scarcely finish them. The Curry Dumplings are a MUST! There's about 5-7 per container, and they are covered in a perfect medium curry. The Pad Thai is wonderful. It has green onions, egg, chicken, lime, red pepper flakes, and peanut. Absolutely recommend you try it out. Spring rolls are incredible. Scratch that, it's all incredible! Try the foreign soda, try the combos, try the sides, try the entrees! We've gone a few other Thai places and they are sooo disappointing. This is an incredible restaurant! I've referred coworkers here and they...
Read moreOkay, I’ll say it. Best Thai food in Salt Lake City. I’ve been here many times, Take out and Eaten on their patio, and it’s never once disappointed me. It is a little hole in the wall that has room for maybe 6 people to stand in it so it could easily be missed. I have only ever seen 2 people there running the show (I’m assuming husband and wife but I could be wrong). I love their Pad Seiw, I usually get chicken but sometimes I do shrimp. Both delicious. My wife likes the Pad Thai. Also very good but the Seiw is better. Their Curry Dumplings are drop dead delicious. Perfect taste with a tiny kick of heat. Always apply the chili flakes and lime, it makes it so much better. But if you’re not into heat it is still good without.
I don’t know why you’re still reading this and haven’t gotten any yet.. Go be gone with you!...
