I love Vosenâs! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, cheery convo when you order, never make you feel rushed. Theyâll explain about any of their bakery or menu items gladly. Wonderful pastries, great coffee drinks, super delicious sandwichesâturkey avocado, Reuben and chipotle roast beef are my favorites, and theyâll happily customize it for you with added cheese, bacon or avocado. The stand-out pastries are the Bienenstich, a thin layer of cake with a whipped custard filling and a crunchy carmelized nut topping(enough to share), the marzipan twist, chocolate croissant and the strudels. Iâve never had any pastry here which wasnât fresh, delicious, and large enough to share. The breakfast sandwiches are really good and can be made without the roll or croissant if youâre GF. Plus they stock a wild variety of European candies, gourmet items, pastas, and doughs you can take and bake at home. Their prices are very affordable and youâll often see families enjoying a pastry and coffee with their little ones while the parents get their coffee break, relaxed, happy, and totally enjoyable. Iâve even been in right before they closed, and was told to sit and enjoy my food while they attended to their closing duties. This is a wonderful neighborhood place, with great deals on their âday-old-bakeryâ items that taste just as fresh as the counter items, plus they donate unsold bread to the food bank, so another plus. Come for lunch or breakfast, get a pastry and coffee, take some hazelnut bread homeâŚyou will be so glad...

When you first walk in you are met with a delicious aroma of fresh bread, and pastries. The staff beats you with such sincerity that you feel like your family.
I had called to put in a large catering order Tuesday afternoon right before closing; Wednesday was a holiday and I needed it by Thursday morning. They had everything boxed up ready to goâŚ. Only for me to realize the coolers I bought were not big enough for a box. They offered to repackage everything into smaller boxes. The smaller boxes worked perfectly.
While I waited I ordered the Turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich. I can honestly say that was the best turkey avocado, bacon sandwich I have ever eaten. As I write this, I am thinking of how delicious that sandwich was and trying to convince myself that a 50 mile drive for a sandwich is a bit much. The turkey was a thicker cut, juicy, flavorful, and it had that Thanksgiving roasted flavor to it. The bacon Cooked perfectly, not too crisp so you donât chip a tooth , and not underdone where it is chewy. The avocado was fresh, and it was ripened to the perfect stage. The sandwich also contained some lettuce, and a dressing, which was delicious. All of this delectable goodness placed on fresh bread. The bread had a perfect crunchy outer crust While the inside was soft. The bread itself had an amazing flavor to it with all the seeds and nuts in it made a perfect sandwich.
I will write a follow up after the party tonight. It will...
Read moreDelicious German bakery with a huge assortment of baked goods, sandwiches, breakfast, coffee/coffee drinks, and market goods.
We stopped in in the morning to pick up some pastries and coffee. They have a full selection of baked goods, including German-style donuts, crostini's, croissants, and bagels. They also have a full selection of fresh baked breads.
We got a maple donut, raspberry donut, coffees, and a cherry strusel. The donuts were flakey and chewy and fluffy and so good. They have a classic custard filling with various flavors on top (like the maple) or top and inside (raspberry/other fruits). The maple wasn't artificial tasting and had a light cinnamon sugar topping on it as well. It was one of the best donuts I've ever had. The custard filling is tasty and a perfect ratio to the donut dough. My partner's raspberry one was also custard filled, with additional raspberry filling.
The coffees were a nice break from the hotel coffee, delicious, fresh, and great tasting.
The cherry strusel was also delicious, especially warmed up. The cherry filling had whole sour cherries and didn't taste like it was simply out of a can. The topping was crumbly, buttery, and delicious.
Highly recommend stopping in. Theres also a full market with German/Swiss/European goods along with "day-old breads" that came at a steep discount. The shop was busy with locals, always a good sign in the morning during the work week. The woman working the counter was polite, efficient, and...
