Located within Nordstrom, this place is my go to for dining at La Cantera. The other restaurants are crowded with a wait. It’s nice and peaceful here, with excellent food and service. I was able to walk right in and get seated. I inhaled my grain bowl before thinking to take a photo, so I can only tell you it was tasty, clean and healthy. As the restaurant is on the 2nd floor there is a bit of a view. Nothing special but I enjoyed looked out at the hilltop.

I really wasn't sure what to expect for a restaurant inside a northstrom, but we wanted to try something new. Honestly, it was a great experience. Food was good, chill vibe, good service - I know im spelling it wrong but Ossy was a cool dude. We went on a Monday evening and the place was dead, which i thought was interesting. In their defense, I think it's more of a place for lunch.

Brunch anyone at the Cafe inside Nordstroms? It was fantastic! I had the traditional breakfast and my Bride had eggs benedict which were excellent (and she knows what she's talking about). I am not sure if the brunch menu option is a weekend or holiday treat but be sure to give it a try.

This is where I go most of the time and the food has been good. Today, I ordered a house salad, I did not specify the size and the server did not ask. That salad option is on the first part of the menu for $9. The server was very nice and attentive. However, when I got the bill I see the salad (which was ok for $9) at $14...I asked the lady who helped us and she said sorry I brought you the large...in retrospective, I will be more careful and specify the size when ordering. Yet, servers are there to ask questions. Anyway, it is disappointing but I am sure that was just miscommunication. I did bring this up to the store manager to please make team members aware and to disclose information. Had I known I was going to pay $14 for a house salad (just mixed greens, croutons and some diced tomatoes; I would have upgraded to the delicious cilantro...

Server Jason needs training. Jason was nice but he was not attentive. Forgot to bring me my dessert order. Refill on water slow. Didn't place my dessert order took get longer to receive. I had to ask for dessert menu BTW. Seemed like he did not wanna b there or serve me. Spoke bad abt San Antonio. Kept asking ready for check? Next time I will pick my waitress/waiter. Andy hostess was awesome. Very nice and patient. I still tipped 30%. I remember the struggle. It's a hard job. But when lunch cost $100+ waitstaff should be top tier. Please train. I love Nordstrom but this place is absurd. We walked in and overheard a table sending a plate back because it was never washed before her a salad was put on it. Tons of gnats flying around which was just so gross. We’re on the 2nd floor all enclosed so you can only wonder where those gnats are coming from. Sent out a super hot burger with cheese that could leave burns in your mouth with 0 warning, and their truffle sauce is terrible. One star is for the view and the other star is for the Brussels sprouts. Otherwise just drive around the corner to...
