The manager, Victoria, was extremely rude and unprofessional, Aside from the store’s lack of cleanliness, the staff being unfriendly disorganized was unsettling. The manager was unable to apply a coupon and insisted I re-order the pizza and apply it through the online app which could not be done since the take out order was already placed and made. When asked about the pizza already made (since the coupon I had she claimed she would not apply on her register but I had to do so online); she stated they would simpy throw the already made pizza in the trash, which is wasteful. So, I suggested we just not worry about the coupon and I tried to pay for the pizza outright (only a dollar short in cash).. the manager insisted on throwing away the pizza already ordered and made due for the principal of the $1 (I.e. throw away $10 profit to save the store $1 profit)… not to mention the store was filthy, staff was disorganized, on egg shells, and unaware of how to use their POS operating systems. When I called back to politely ask for the manager’s name and store number, the staff (when they FINALLY answered the phone) was then somewhat unwilling to provide the information as well as took an unusual amount of time to close out my order online so I could properly file a formal complaint (which I did). I luckily was able to find all the information anyway (I am not usually one to file complaints on any business); however due to the degree of difficulty this store put myself and my husband thought for a simple take out order where I felt unsafe as a pregnant woman downtown where there was no parking. However, I decided the principal point this manager wanted to create over her lack of knowledge as well as clear lack of employee training (being unwilling apply simple coupon from her register OR allow for the full price payment of $1 short was indeed worth the complaint. Rather it be lazy worth ethics or lack of empathy in the core values and culture. This store being in a promotion downtown with terrible customer service and management style must have a ton of revenue leakage! My husband and I ended up placing our order at a different Domino’s location and drove out of the way as we did not want to spend our hard earned money at a franchise with such lack of tact and sanitation standards. The Bandera location in San Antonio we ended up doing business with was very helpful, polite, and even they agreed after we chatted a little in the disregard of Domino’s company ethics by the previous store as well as stated we were not the first patrons who had complaints and issues with the downtown location’s staff. I would suggest you order from your second closest store location if this branch is the one you’re...
Read moreAvoid this Dominos at all cost.
I've been a regular Dominos customer for nearly 6 years in 4 different cities, and I've NEVER had a single problem. I moved to San Antonio last week and ordered from this Dominos for the first time tonight. Absolute disaster.
I order at 9:20 PM. I wait an hour and hear nothing, nor has the online order tracker budged. I call the store to check on the order. I wait on hold for ELEVEN MINUTES. Someone picks up the phone and asks my information, then tells me my order is on the way and should be there shortly. Ok. I wait 30 more mintues, and still nothing. I call again, I wait on hold 15 minutes, STILL no one picks up. I hang up, call back, wait on hold another 10 minutes, nothing. At this point its almost 2 hours since I ordered my pizza. Since the store is less than 10 minutes away, I just drive there to get my pizza. When I arrive, the store has all the sign and most of the lighting turned off. All of the doors except the side door are locked (this is at 11 PM, the store closes at 2 am, the doors that are locked are the ones that say "This door to remain open during business hours"). I walk inside and ask where my pizza is, and the guy asks for my information, and then goes to the back to find my order. Sure enough, my order is sitting under a heat lamp, 2 hours after ordering, and 40 minutes after someone in the store explicitly told me it was already on the way to my house. I grab my pizza and leave. The entire time I'm there the phones are ringing off the hook. There are at least 7 employees inside the store. SEVEN EMPLOYEES. I used to work at a pizza place, and even on our busiest days we had 6 people working. This Dominos had 7, couldn't deliver in less than 2 hours, couldn't answer the phone, and the manager couldn't even respond to me when I asked him what the heck was going on. Seriously... he just stared at me silently and literally didn't say a WORD when I asked him what the heck was going on at his store. He looked extremely messed up.
I have no idea what is going on at this store... but avoid at all costs. Considering all the other terrible similar reviews of this location, I'm amazed Dominos corporate lets it stay open. I'll be calling them tomorrow to try to get...
Read moreSo I accidentally ordered from this dominoes location again thinking I was ordering from somewhere else. (Last time I got food poisoning). How that happens I don't know but it did. I guess was way too hungry. Placed an order at 10:30 PM on a Saturday and it didn't leave the store till 12:30 AM. I never received the order. No text. No call. Nothing.
I even stayed up till 1:30 in the morning just so the pizza guy wouldn't be pissed if I fell asleep. How sad is that? I'm sitting around for three hours waiting for pizza on a Saturday night.....
I called the next day to get a refund and the manager apologized. He seem flustered and he should be. He probably has a billion people calling and yelling at him weekly. I'm not joking when I say this place sucks.
At that point I wasn't really worried about it. I mean honestly it's probably better for my waistline and wallet that I never received my order. The one thing that reallllyyy bothered me was that the manager told me he couldn't get my order to me due to the current 50% off promotion. He basically said that a bunch people didn't get their orders that night.
Are you seriously telling me that Dominoes just writes off a bunch of orders at the end of the night if they can't get to them? And then they never notify you....
AND once again I was offered nothing to make amends for my crappy experience. He literally told me to call back next week if I wanted to make another order because they are so busy.
Sounds...
