Last Place Burger — Restaurant in San Antonio

New food truck located right next to Roadmap Brewing Co. The hype for this joint has been quite the bee's knees lately. I was finally able to stop by the other night to see what the fuss was all about. The menu is short and sweet consisting of two burger options and a choice of fries. This joint uses Wagyu beef for their patty choice, a phenomenon that a lot of restaurants are adopting. I found it amusing since they are smash burgers, so there is almost no reason to even use Wagyu on their menu. Also, we know that they are not using A5 grade meat, let alone A2! Not trying to belittle the food truck, but it makes it a silly excuse to charge high dollar for their burgers because of the Wagyu I assume. The burgers are fine, they remind me of a Freddy's burger or a Shake Shack burger as well. The patties were too salty and it wasn't too pleasant when paired with their salty fries. Not every burger joint needs to blow you away, but it does need to impress the customer for them to hopefully return. I will not. The food is not bad, but don't for a second (fully) believe the hype! I almost couldn't believe the bill after ordering. 55$ for 4 cheeseburgers and a fry! Maybe replace the Wagyu with something more affordable to the masses. These burgers are not last place on my burger rating, but they are far from first...

This burger is anything but last place!!! I saw this was rated the best burger in the world by a prominent youtuber and was traveling to San Antonio, so I had to make it a point to stop by. I was not disappointed. My wife and I both love burgers and have tried one on just about all of our travels, this was for SURE the best burger I have ever had! It's just the basics of high-quality meat cheese and bread with the essential condiments of mayo ketchup mustard and delicious pickles. They don't like substitutions, and I don't blame them. the standard burger is perfect in every way and needs to be enjoyed the way it's created. All the meat is America waygu and smashed to perfection. Seriously, get to this food truck and enjoy the road map brewery while experiencing the best burger...

Amazing Burger & Fries

Wow, I cannot recommend Last Place Burgers enough! The burgers are out of this world delicious and the fries are absolutely fabulous. Every bite was bursting with flavor and the quality of the ingredients is clear. The wagyu beef burgers were cooked to perfection!

Not only is the food amazing, but the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They really make you feel like a valued customer and their upbeat and energetic attitude is contagious. The service is fast and efficient, so you can grab a quick and delicious meal on the go.
