We have walked past Pali many times while in the area but have yet to stop. Thanks to Sidecar tours we finally had the opportunity to check it out. Pali had a wide variety of wine’s and even beers to chose from as well as some tasty eats. We each got a wine tasting flight of four tastings (included with our tour) and you can choose your wines or go with Pali’s suggestions (which we did). We went with red’s and each had something different. Everything we had was fabulous! My husband ordered the crispy potatoes and I got a side of the sourdough baguette toast. The potatoes were good, really crispy just how he likes them. The toast was grilled perfectly and paired with whipped butter and house made jam. I cannot say enough about the jam, Sunday’s special was strawberry-peach and it was one of the best jam’s I have every had. I am not sure why but it reminded me of Fall, maybe had a touch of cinnamon. Anyways, it was fresh and had a hint of sweetness but not too sweet. Just perfect.

We sat up top and enjoyed the view as we sipped our wine. Pali also has a nice patio and garden downstairs. There is really no bad place to sit and enjoy your drinks and eats. The staff was great, quick service as well. Overall good food, staff, and a relaxing...

Wine Wednesdays & Comedy Nights?! Be weary...

Went with some friends on a reservation for half off bottles of wine on their Wednesday special but there was zero communication or posting from staff that the special applies to ONLY the front patio... We learned this the hard way... The bottles were already high ticketed and half off made slightly more sense... however the sticker shock that our table and the surrounding ones experienced was not cool. Our friends had been there the week prior and was told about the special to come back for and with a comedy night that was pay as you go for tipping the acts seemed like too good to be true... it was...

As for as the event, it was well staffed with very attentive servers who uncomfortably had to field our confusion of the "special" and it put them in a position that was not fair. Their service and attention to detail otherwise was excellent and their food menu had solid veggie options which was nice to see if you're looking for that.

All in all, communication up front about the back patio being excluded from the special would have gone a...

Great rooftop patio, loved watching the airplanes coming in to land. Charcuterie plate was delicious but rather expensive for what you get. The Frosé was a must try, basically a wine slushie. Also tried the Natural Flight, which gave me a new appreciation for red wines. The only negative was the attitude of our server. We were polite and pleasant but were received with irritation on her part when we asked about wine recommendations, because admittedly, we are not wine connoisseurs. She got visibly frustrated when asked by one of our party if there were any sweeter wine flights. She appeared to take a dislike to us and avoided us most the evening, even forgetting the add on to our order and not checking on us for water refills, etc. It was baffling as she appeared fine to other patrons. Again, we were not rude or obnoxious at all, so not sure why she acted that way. It didn't dampen the whole evening, but it made me think about not going there again as the weird attitude was...

Pali Wine Co on India Street should be an easy win—it’s got the charm, a cute setup, and a solid lineup of wines (some bottles are genuinely worth writing home about). The food? Surprisingly above average for a wine bar, which only makes the experience more frustrating when the service fumbles so consistently. Service here is hit or miss, but let’s not sugarcoat it—mostly misses. Long waits, and a general vibe of “figure it out yourself” dampen what could otherwise be a 4- or even 5-star experience. Their wine subscription is a bright spot and absolutely worth exploring if you live in the area. Until they get the front-of-house dialed in, this remains a spot with great potential that’s just not quite living up to it yet.
